The location of this site is absolutely perfect. Secluded, no cell phone service, and less than a 5 minute easy walk down to the beach. Even with the site being completely full, it didnt feel like it. Will definitely stay again.

Absolutely beautiful! The campground was the most quiet campground at night. I have never slept so good. The road getting to the campground is super twisty turny and steep which I didnt know going into it. But I will definitely go back

We were at site 21 which had a really nice view of the ocean. We appreciated that most at sunset. The campground is beautiful and the walk to the water was relatively short. Some things to note - There is a road near site #21 that campers aren't allowed in and whatever is back there had a loud generator that ran for many hours, including at 5am. The $15 "bundle" of firewood that was sold at the campground consisted of 5 tiny pieces of wood, definitely remember to pack your own. The sinks weren't running in the bathroom but that didn't matter much to us. We would absolutely come back to this campground!

Beautiful campground, will absolutely come back.Pros:-PCH is still closed a few miles north of here so there is very little traffic-2 min walk to Sand Dollar Beach-Clean, quiet-Flush Toilets, potable water, trash+recycling cansCons-no sinks or camp sinks-very busy all the time (I went in late november)-you have to come from the south (as of 2023)

The campground was clean and well cared for. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. The campsite was clean and laid out well. The only issue was that the sinks in the restrooms were not operational. A great time.

There was no potable water available, but the campground was open and park like with a nice beach nearby, The area around the campground is chapparal, not forest.

We loved this camp a lot. We got site 21, that is close to entrance, firstly we thought it would be loud and uncomfortable, but we were wrong. Also the bonus of this site is a great ocean view and the field where you can ran and play some games like frisbee.

Open campground with a beautiful walk down to the beach.

Pros:
Lovely trees to camp under.
Easy walk down to a wonderful beach.
Camp Host was Awesome.

Cons:
No sinks in the restrooms.
Firewood is super expensive if purchased from the camp.

We had a wonderful time here, brought our 18mo and 5yo sons who had a blast. The Plaskett Creek Campground was perfect for families with little kids, large grassy fields for running and playing. Felt safe as no sites were near highway 1 and no direct access to beach from the campsite. There were tons of kids around and ours loved making new friends. Even with the sites being full things quieted down well enough at sundown for everyone to rest and sleep. Sites were large with tables and fire pits each. Bathroom facilities were clean and camp hosts readily available. We especially appreciated camp host Susan who welcomed us and helped figure out how we could minimize moving our gear as our original reservation was spaced out over 3 different sites on 3 different nights. She also had excellent recommendations for nearby beaches to visit (Sand Dollar within walking distance and Mill Creek a short drive away).

Only thing I wish we'd known was that the potable water situation changes if water does not test clean enough which is the case currently with displaced animals due to the Dolan Fire now living nearer to the creek source...we were expecting potable water but it was not available while we were there (3/2021). Camp host was selling 1 gallon jugs for $5, we were happy we'd brought some extra with us just in case. They also sell firewood for $15/bundle - lasts about 1.5hrs, and fire starter pucks for $5. Expensive, but no cheaper if you got it locally in nearby towns of Gorda or Lucia, and for the steal of getting to camp with a view of the Pacific Ocean for $40/night we went for it and enjoyed our evening s'mores!
