Overall, my experience with the Recreaton.gov sight was good. The site was relatively easy to navigate and make reservations on . Unfortunately, only some some sites had photos but not all , including the one we initially reserved. The site did not have more than one level site fora tent. Fortunately, the campground wasnt full and we were able to relocate to a site that worked well for three tents.

Beautiful spot. Very quiet. Wish there was water in bathrooms.

Although the campground was nearly totally filled, the campground remained peacefully serene. Definitely walk up the road to Sand Dollar Beach.

By far one of the most beautiful coastal campgrounds in California.

Everything about the campsite was great! The camp hosts were on top of all maintenance and custodian needs and the sites are nestled in a beautiful tree grove with incredible ocean views just across the PCH. The 4 star review is because the online booking system is a huge pain and hard to navigate. The booking policies are unclear, dates are difficult to find and the FF situation is a mess. This is on the management company not the actual campsite. Otherwise, we will definitely be returning!

We live in Santa Cruz County. Visited when Hwy 1 had a land slide had to drive up from Cambria. Beautiful drive! We always camp on the outer side of the Plaskett Creek loop with wilderness behind us. Plenty of privacy. Not always a level spot for tents. Could be easily fixed by grading the soil. We arrived to find no portable water. Lesson learned always pack a few gallons. Camp host directed us to Lime Kiln to refill our containers.
Took a small day hike along the bluffs. Aqua sea crashing over the rocks. So beautiful!
