Lisa and William, our camp hosts were very warm, friendly, and helpful. They kept the campground in order and clean. Both had wealth of information to share. The restrooms were clean as William consistently tented to them, always working on something while Lisa was very engaged with visitors making everyone feeling comfortable. Would definitely visit this place again, primary because of our hosts.

Stayed at site #28. No shade at all. You are in the sun all day; not bad if it's a cool day but bad for summer days. The bathrooms smell as if they've never been cleaned. Host should hose down the bathrooms. In the two days we were there, I never saw them clean it. They only restocked toilet paper. The sinks in the bathroom don't work. I would look for a better campground.

Great place to be with access to Sand Dollar Beach and bluffs trails. Good camping sites with trees and grass. Campground hosts were helpful and friendly. Bathrooms were clean.

The roads were closed from North and also the website didnt make it very clear which route is open. There was no bear box and the site was not maintained. The wild grass on the campsite made the surface uneven. The table at our site was very dirty.

Plaskett Creek is a sweet little campground. We enjoyed walking across the highway to the beach. My only complaint is that there were only portable toilets and they were really dirty. We drove up the rode to go to the bathroom. I wouldn't go again until the regular bathrooms were open again

My wife and I love the place. The only one thing, those ladies (host camp) are so rude the fanciest thing: 2 different people but the same rudeness.

Great location, clean bathrooms. Since this area is on a mountain side, there are many campsites which aren't very flat. It can be difficult to find level ground for a tent but not an issue for trailers and RVs with leveling stands.

The campground, facilities, and site was clean. The location is fantastic - in a bit of a sheltered area across the road from the beach, although you could still see the ocean in some parts. Some surfers camp here. The interior camp sites are pretty close together with no natural barriers between the sites, so could hear some loud conversations and snoring of nearby tents. It's like camping on a big lawn, and due to no natural barriers, people seemed to have NO qualms about walking right through the middle of your camp site. There are also no tent pads. You can mostly find a mostly level place for a tent but not completely. Also both mornings we were here there where service trucks backing down the service road (BEEP...BEEP...BEEP) - which sort of ruins the ambiance. Given all that, I'd readily camp here again.

The property is beautiful with mature trees and large sites. The drawbacks are no electricity, no pump out, campfires prohibited while we were there 11/6/21. Other state campgrounds allowed campfires. Bathrooms were clean, but no water for sink and no showers available. I understand Big Sur is trying to be about rustic, but we are full time RVERS, retired, cant do rustic anymore and still love Big Sur in all its natural beauty. There are no other campgrounds in the area that can accommodate our big rig.

Camp hosts very good and helpful.

It would have been a 5 star, but why was the water not running in the bathroom sinks?

I've been coming to Plaskett since I was just a youth, now Im 66. The campground has changed very little since those early days except for the crowds. Its really pretty worn out from the constant use. Its location is really its greatest asset but as far as clean well maintained campground its really pretty bad. The roads are really potholed around the campground and the bathrooms are still old school pit toilets. Everyone washes their dishes at the water hose bibs and the drains are plugged and pretty gross. The good things are the sites are big and pretty spread out, lots of lawn which is great to thrown the tent on. Its proximity to Sand dollar beach is a huge draw. Plaskett is such a popular site is almost impossible to get a site these day, the reservation system is really bad as many sites are booked and then left unoccupied. Still if you can go mid week you may get lucky. Catch the sunset on the bluff, nice.

The campground was nearly deserted, so very quiet, and I saw very little of the host(s). However everything was clean and orderly, and it was beautiful as always.
