It's a nice campground in a beautiful location on the California Central Coast. The only draw back is the limited amount of flat tent spaces.

Beautiful setting, campground surrounded by large old growth trees with day use area and beach access just across the highway. Infrastructure was decent, but drive areas are narrow with some rough spots, and my wooden picnic table had grass growing up from the cracks between the plank tops. Short generator hours (when you would be out hiking or enjoying the beach) was a bit frustrating. Great hiking trail along the bluff on beach side of Highway 1.

We usually camp with friends every year and the hosts this time are great! Friendly, helpful. Bathrooms were taken care of. Thanks!

Unfortunately the toilets were closed due to a leak and the temporary toilets were grim. we didnt see the warden so had no idea of walks apart from down to beach which was lovely

The campground is great! Well kept. The sinks weren't working, so that was a bummer. The major downside was the camp host at the time, Dara(sp?). We were trying to get more campsites and she didn't understand, even though we paid her, she wouldn't give us the car tags that she said we needed to be there. Our other friends also had a similar situation in which they bought a site and she gave them a site that was already taken and wouldn't give them another site. She also charged every car that came through for our campsites even though we had already paid for them.

We spent 2 nights in site #039. The park was easy to find, even at night (JUST MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE MAP BEFORE YOU LEAVE SANTA CRUZ AREA (if heading south) BECAUSE THERE'S ZERO RECEPTION!). Pavement all the way around the park (some repairs needed, but nothing inadequate for our truck with truck camper. Good signage, so was easy to find our location...all except the bathroom. Pulling in at night (was pitch-black) and walked all over looking for the bathroom that was right by our campsite! . Efficient check in and out, and camp host basically helpful although didn't see until needed to buy the $15 small bundle of wood. Apparently he sells water also, but we had plenty. The campground is very scenic ... gorgeous, huge trees everywhere! No water in the restrooms so plan accordingly.Great listening to the sound of the waves! My kids loved playing on that tree in the middle of the grass. Important to note that to get to the beach, you have to go down a staircase of 80-100(?) steps to get to the gorgeous beach! Or we just explored above on top of the cliffs. While $35/night is pretty standard, especially for Big Sur, I do think the lack of available water warranted a slightly cheaper price...but is Big Sur! Other campgrounds have zero water, so there's that...

Love Plaskett Creek. Always great. Sand dollar beach across highway. Jade cove. Hiking on the bluffs or creek. Sitting around the fire at night. Big campsites not crowded together. Great camp hosts.

Plaskett Creek Campground is fantastic. My issue is with Parks Management Company, who operates the campground. I emailed them (because they don't answer the phone) to let them know I would be a day late to my seven day reservation. When I showed up the following day, they hadn't gotten my email told me they had given my campsite away. So I lost my whole reservation because they didn't pass along my message to the campground. To make matters worse, they are now refusing to refund my $253 in fees for the seven nights I wasn't able to stay there, and won't return my phone calls or answer my emails.

I am very concerned about the decision to close the sink at Plaskett. We all know that the bet defense against virus is hand washing and sanitation. There is a completely backward logic to close the sinks. A better and more logical solution would be to provide soap and sanitizer. Perhaps even increasing access to sanitation across the board instead of limiting it. Whomever made the call to close the sinks is extremely short sighted and honestly should loose their position based on incompetent decision making.

The bathrooms could've been cleaned when we were there and some of the firepits need digging out.

Well maintain campground in trees with shade. Close to beach. Need to watch closely for entrance sign, easy to miss.
