Host were nice. I had different camp sites for Sat and Sun. Host told me I could move to the other site on Sunday early if the people left before checkout. Unfortunately they did not, but still the hosts were ok with it. Restrooms and campground were clean. I felt safe. Theres not a lot of privacy between most campsites, but its Big Sur and its totally worth it! The beach is walking distance. Poison oak is overgrown everywhere so be careful (not at plaskett creek).Highway 1 was closed down 8 miles out so we werent able to venture out much.

Campsites are huge and location is great ! Similar to what other reviews said -Friday night there was a big party that was raging so loud until 12-1 am. Next day when I asked the host what time quiet hours were, she said 10 but if no one complains they dont enforce since shes not working then which was disappointing. Also note: half of the water spouts are disabled. The water spouts that do work are not potable, and there are only portapotties. It worked fine for us but it took a while to realize that there was in fact water. We were right next to the portas which was not a problem except the last day got a little stinky

Porta pots and non potable water is the current situation at your campground. That is tough when hoping to stay in your beautiful location for more than 2-3 days. If it is for financial reasons the bathroom facilities are not up and running, then hope funds can became available again soon. Location is stunning and campground layout is great, it truly is a gem. Just hope the amenities can get back to a better maintained state.

My campsite was just okay, #34. It was right next to a bathroom, and people would walk right through my site to go to the bathroom - which I thought was inconsiderate! Fortunately, the bathrooms are not lit up at night so that there wasn't glaring lights all night long. The best sites were definitely on the outside perimeter of the loop road, so try to get one of those.I highly recommend crossing Hwy 1 to access Sand Dollar Beach. It was a beautiful, expansive beach, and if the tide is low, you can go inside a cave on the far end of the beach to the north.

Its a beautiful location with friendly staff. My only complaint is the lack of water in the restroom sinks.

Perfect location for Big Sur activities. Sand Dollar Beach is great and a short walk away.

First of all, this is a beautiful campground, thats about it. No potable water and the restrooms only half work. The infrastructure is badly needed of updating. The access to the beach needs a lot of repairs, and very dangerous.

The host Adeline was so helpful and accommodating! The campgrounds are so beautiful. We went when it was raining, so if you're gonna camp in a tent, choose flat ground . I accidentally pitched my tent in a dip and woke up to a puddle. Pack warm and bring lots of socks lol. Make sure to check out the beach that's a 10 minute walk crossing the street!

Campground host very nice. She came around to say water was not potable. It was not full due to road closure so that was nice. Usually it is booked months in advance.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the campground was well-maintained. Even though there was water at the faucets throughout the campground, there was no running water in the sinks of the bathrooms. That would have been the only improvement that would have made it better.

Friendly and helpful campground hosts, nicely kept campground, clean sites and restrooms, walking distance to beach and beach park.
