Beautiful campground, with mature trees. Any complaints about bathroom cleanliness has more to do with fellow male campers (consistently not lifting seat to pee! ugh!) than cleaning routine by campground staff. Campground was probably more quiet than usual with the road closed north of the campground. Access to the beach was easy. we were there fairly early in the season, so trail maintenance was underway to clear back a LOT of poison oak. Beautiful beaches. Friendly and helpful camp hosts.

The campground is immaculate and extremely well maintained. When we first arrived we met the hosts Punky and Michael. Very friendly and fun to chat with. They helped make our stay memorable. Looking forward to another visit this year. Some people have commented on Poison Oak, yes it is around and you will be just fine if you stay on trails and don't venture into the scrub. They have flushing toilets but no handwashing facilities so be prepared. There are faucets of potable water throughout the campground.

Plaskett creek is always beautiful. Campsites are a comfortable distance apart and many have an ocean view. While the bathroom sinks were shut down the bathrooms were very clean and spacious. Campsites had water spigots close by. The campground host were moving on to Oregon but while they were there we appreciated all their help and knowledge about the area.

Was not informed of e coli contamination in drinking water until my second day. This information needs to be communicated in a much clearer manner.

We love this campground and had a nice time. The camp host and their manager were super helpful - we were arriving late and emailed the facility, and the manager reached out to the host within minutes to inform them. That was really awesome and helped. The $50 / night is a little steep given the sinks aren't working.

Great campground! It was very quiet during our stay. Camp hosts kept the restrooms very clean! Definitely coming back...

Love that campground! Kirk needs attention, it's really looking bad.

First - the weather was perfect. It was a nice drive up from where we live in SLO County. The campground was quiet and serene - just what we needed for a few days of rest and reading. It was nice to ride my bike to the end of the road without any traffic. The campground hosts were nice, bathrooms clean; it was a great time to be at Placket.

Beautiful location, very close to the sand dollar beach. The hosts were awesome. The only drawback is no cell coverage in the campground; however, if you go to the entrance, there is a specific spot (no clue why) where you will mostly get a bar to quickly check emails or messages.

Beautiful area and very quiet campground.

The bathrooms need a major upgrade - no flush toilets - only porta potty's

It was disappointing that the website and reservation did not elaborate there were no campfires allowed. We checked the USFS website regarding burn days and our stay was not listed as a no-burn day. Upon arrival, the camp host informed us that we were not allowed to burn wood, but were allowed to cook on a propane stove. No problem. If only the second night of our stay, the camp host was enjoying a fire next to their RV while we ate dinner in the cold. I don’t mind being cold, but I do mind the hypocrisy of the camp host.

We came just before a major storm that resulted in another Hiway One closure. The personnel was friendly and helpful. I have visiting for 50 yrs., and the management was great. Thank you.

We were fortunate to get a reservation in April. What a great campground! Lots of families enjoying the outdoors and this beautiful spot so close to the beach. The Camp Host went above and beyond to accommodate us and everyone else in the park. Her nightly drive by to check in and see if anyone needed anything was something we haven't seen elsewhere.
We will definitely be back again very soon!!
