The hosts, William and Lisa, were very helpful, friendly and responsive. We went for one night and were able to stay for two, thanks to their diligence in letting us know about another site available for two nights (before setting up our tent). The campground was mostly quiet and the bathrooms were well kept. The location is ideal for a weekend getaway, off the beaten path and close to beaches.

Campground hosts were very nice. They kept the place clean. Even though theres no water in the bathrooms to wash your hands, they kept the bathrooms very clean. Super nice place to camp, but I dont recommend anybody else going there. The reason is I wanna make sure I can find a spot the next time I go :)

This campground is by far one of my favorites, no wonder its so hard to get a reservation. Not only is it located in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, Big Sur, it is right across highway 1 from a beach. The campsite also had amazing hosts, Molly and Jeff. They are were super friendly and I cant thank them enough for jumping my car when the battery died. 10/10 experience!

Loved this campsite! We were prepared and knew about the Porter potties and no showers so we brought our own setups. Cell phone Reception is not good but at certain points you can get enough signal to receive text messages. Sunsets across the street were amazing! Definitely want to come back!

Camp host was super friendly and helpful. Views were incredible and the campsite I had was very spacious. Access to the ocean trails were super convenient and incredibly beautiful.

We love Plaskett, but the maintenance of the facilities has slipped. All of the restrooms were closed (at least the port-a-potties were clean). There is still no potable water in the faucets (what gives?). We were lucky that we brought enough drinking water. The drains under the faucets were all clogged, creating a quagmire you had to reach over to get water. In spite of the draught, campfires were allowed. This would have been acceptable, except our neighbors built a HUGE bonfire with 10-foot+ flames coming close to tree branches. They ignored our concerns, and there was no one with authority present to monitor the situation. Finally, the reservation by internet system is a mess. Many sites are empty, but unavailable. I tried to cancel the last night of my reservation so someone else could use the site, but was unable to. The camp host could only tell me to go on-line, but there is no reception at Plaskett. So I paid for a site I could not use, and no one else could, either.

This campground is so lovely! It has a very communal and friendly feel to it. The beach and trails are just around the corner as well.Only disappointment was that the bathrooms didn't have running water (I believe they were just under maintenance).

Beautiful area with close access to beach. We hike the Vincente Flat Trail into the Ventana Wilderness. Trailhead is just 5 miles north. Very comfortable sites spaced apart from one another.

Beautiful campground with fantastic hosts. Easy walk to the (rocky) beach or up on the bluffs. Short drive from other coastal scenic areas. Our first night, our neighbors were very noisy late into the night, and the camp hosts graciously relocated us to a more private area for the remainder of our week long stay. In general, there is not a lot of privacy and it’s very family friendly with lots of grassy areas to run around. A few helpful notes- water wasn’t potable while we were there, camp hosts sell gallons if you need it (same price as closest store), they also sell firewood. We’d definitely go back.

No potable water, no showers, the roads are all busted up. There is poison ivy all over the campground. The bathrooms have no hand sanitizer or soap, and all the trees in the campground are all cut up. This campsite sucked and I am never coming back.
