October is the best time to go. Mostly empty camping and the beach was very nice

Nice campground, but the presence of gas RV generators running all the time makes sleeping difficult. Should break of the campground into tents & RV section so tent people can sleep.

Ocracoke is awesome. Probably my favorite place in the states. Dont come. Youll mess it up for the rest of us.

The Ocracoke Campground is a favorite destination for me. Beautiful beaches, excellent campground, friendly ferry staff to and from, and we recommend Howard's pub for delicious seafood!

Such a beautiful, small island with an ideal camp setting steps away from the beach. We had to leave early due to incoming storms. If it's windy, it's BEST if you have a van or RV. Camping in a tent is not ideal for the strong winds that may occur. Luckily, we had the van!

Quiet / beautiful Area / plenty of space on sites. Only down side is the lack of dog owners to pick up their dog's waste & failing to keep their dogs on leash

Gave me a place to park for a couple of nights. Easy access, close walk to the beach and restrooms were clean.

Absolutely loved Ocracoke in October. One of the best campsites Ive been to. Spot D05 was great loved being tucked away in the Dunes and the bathroom was close enough with the kids.

Nice campground and could hear the ocean from our site. The negatives are that it is hard to have privacy since it is pretty wide open. The mosquitos were very annoying in the mornings and evenings. The positives are that it is a nice flat campground and not far from town. We rode our ebikes into the town each day to explore, shop, and eat.

Great place to stay. Really needs a dish washing station and a place to fill water jugs. Everything else is great.

Beautiful and exciting place, I wish it was a hot water so I can tent camp on the cold months but so far is an excellent place for camping and hiking and be out there, see the stars and the Milky Way, I definitely recommend and Ill be back very soon.

This was my first time camping in 25 years. Overall it was delightful. I went to this camp site first because I was familiar with Ocracoke and knew I could find what I needed near by, I used this as a learning experience. One thing I know is that I would not want to camp in a tent there in the heat of summer. My last night was warm and there was no breeze and the mosquitos came out. It was harder to get comfortable under those conditions. The bathrooms could use a little attention and better daily upkeep, Otherwise, the other campers were mindful of each other. It was quiet and my site had some privacy and was a short walk to the beach,

The camping was great - only suggestion would be a place to put a dry towel/clothes when showering.

We love Ocracoke because it is quiet, fun, and DARK!!!! I was able to get some great picture of the milky way and andromeda and it was still early in the evening.

I have been camping at Ocracoke for decades. Loop D has always been generator free. What happened to change that? It is causing conflict between tent campers and those in giant RVs with generators that loudly run and drown out the nature.I made a reservation in May and had to accept the disclaimer saying loop d was generator free. I go camping in September and everyone is running generators. Loops a, b and c allow generators. Why are you taking away loop d from the tent campers who want peace and quiet? I saw first hand conflicts arrive because of this.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
