Beautiful campground with nicely spaced campsites! There are showers, no hot water though.

Really nice campground with outdoor and enclosed showers, clean restrooms, friendly hosts, and a great bike path into town. We had perfect weather and sunny October beach days. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

The ferry was cancelled and the road was closed and there was no way to get to Ocracoke to use the campsite. I thought that the reservation would be automatically cancelled and the fee refunded since it was inaccessible on the reservation date. I should get a refund!!

We had a great stay at the campground. This is our 3rd year coming down for the same week.

I love the remoteness, but the cell signal was non existent, preventing me from utilizing the entertainment I had hoped to use at night. Short of that and no hot shower water, everything was great!

A wonderful, peaceful, quiet campground. Right behind the dunes of the beach. Site A7 was great, between the path to the beach and flanked by shrubs for privacy- morning sun and afternoon shade. Cool breezes all day long. Loved our 3 days here. Ocracoke village is charming and friendly, only a 20 minute bike ride away.

Beautiful campground with easy access to the beach. Be nice if there were some power and water sites.

It's without a doubt a great value (steal?) for the money, but it is primitive, especially if you are tent camping. However, you should have known that going in, and should have planned ahead Highly advise anyone to get a spot on the outside of the loop instead of in the inner part of the campground, even if it means you are further from the beach. All spots have a picnic table and grill, but the outside spots have good privacy and shade. Cell phone service can be spotty (You ARE in a remote area of the US) in the campground but is pretty good in town. Again, think ahead if you are tent camping and will want to send emails, browse the internet, or charge things. The campground itself is very well maintained and attended and it is an easy bike ride into town. Bikes are as convenient as cars, if not more in Ocracoke. And of course, the most beautiful beach in the world is less than 100 yards away. The more you hike or drive north, the more beautiful it gets. Just stand on the beach on a clear night at least one time.

The location is beautiful. However, non water non electric and no generators allowed to run at night makes it impossible to sleep in the summer heat. The days were beautiful, the nights were completely miserable.

Always nice pending wind & insects

Super nice and clean camp ground, you can hear the ocean while you sleep, just a few hundred feet and you are at the ocean, you can’t see it due to the dunes. Wish they would let you burn camp fires

I love this campground! Very peaceful and well maintained, especially during the pandemic. So glad they are still open!

The campsite was very clean and very close to the beautiful beach. We were there in the winter, so the water was winterized at the dump station, so we could not use it. Be careful with pets- there are many burrs on the ground, but nothing the campsite could do about that! We will definitely return!
