Private, secluded, hear sounds of the waves, close to Frisco village services.

Great stay, location nice and quiet with sounds of waves! Area was clean easy to locate and plenty of space for camp and vehicle! Showers and bathrooms well lite and during our stay, could become over crowded if full but plenty of options. All facilities stocked and trash can was clean and not over filled or smelly!

Frisco is only campground on the outer banks where you can see the ocean. Been coming here for 37 years and would not go anywhere else. Facilitys are more than adequate and staff are friendly. Recommended if you dont need a luxury resort.

Frisco campground is great as long as you are ready for primitive camping. Very quiet and secluded. I will do again Lord willing!

Accs to wild stretch of beach with only OSV fishers. Sites are protected from wind, some with nice views out to sea.

Beautiful campground - set in the dunes on the outer banks. The surrounding area is quaint and supplies are plentiful. The bathroom clean and the sites small but cozy. There was a lot of shade for an ocean side camground and a lot of privacy. Would stay there again!

Camped here with my family in spot A5. We chose it for the convenience, right near the entrance and directly across from the bathrooms and showers. Perfect for car camping, but not much room for a tent, so Id pick a different spot if youre tent camping. The campground itself was super clean, and the bathrooms were way nicer than expected. Showers are cold though, so bringing a solar shower is a smart move. The beach is very close, you can hear the waves at night and the stars are incredible thanks to low light pollution. Definitely plan for some downtime to just relax, enjoy the beach, catch the sunset, and take in the night sky. Saw some people windsurfing too, which was pretty cool.Only downside: ticks a lot of them. Lone star ticks everywhere. Stay out of the brush and bring strong bug spray. Overall, great spot if you come prepared.

Perfect weather during my visit - shorts and a t-shirt were perfect for the duration. The stars at night are awe inspiring. I could hear the surf. While the sound side of the island was windy drawing the kite boarders and windsurfers, the campground was not windy. Clean bathrooms and no litter make for a nice campground.

The campground hosts were very nice and helpful. Bathrooms clean. The site had some erosion to deal with. Unfortunately ticks are a thing to deal with, tick checks can solve that problem. Absolutely beautiful setting. Will come back for sure.

Short walk to the beach or you can by a permit and drive onto the beach. Restaurants are close by.

Our site (P01) was reasonably level and had some shade. We had good access to the beach and restrooms. Stickers were everywhere so keep your dogs in the sand as much as possible. T-Mobile cell service was abysmal - just barely usable if we were in the correct place in our RV.

Everything was good except there was no hot water in the shower.

I really like this campground bc it has all the essentials without over doing it. Its a campground and not an over commercialized theme park geared towards corporate profit. Thankfully there are still a few left. Please continue to maintain it without ruining its timeless character!

Frisco Campgrounds are well kept, maintained, and usually have very friendly camp hosts. Cell coverage is sketchy, it comes and goes. I visit Cape Hatteras for the surf fishing and use Frisco as my home base.. During this stay the weather was rather chilly and windy so I spend more time than usual at the campsite. I had the chance to meet and spend some time with the camp hosts who went out of their way to make my stay and the other campers stay enjoyable. A real shout out to them and thank you.

Convenient to ramp 49, the campground is very nice for fishing. The campground is clean and the sites provide a variety of configurations for tents or campers. Much nicer camping than the typical open space. Only request would be for better recycling. The bin was full the whole time we were there.

Stayed week end of October. Great campground, very peaceful. Stayed at site p66. Great vegetation, good view on ocean back from the dunes. Clean bathrooms. Cold showers as anticipated, but they were very clean.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
