we stayed four nights here and the campground might have been 20% full so all was nice and quiet! It is about a 5-10 minute scenic walk to the beach. The whole place, including the bathrooms were incredibly clean and interactions with the staff couldn't have been better. We hope to make it back here again

Great, private campsites with nice boardwalk to beach. Cold-water showers not inticing after Thanksgiving. Very private and quiet in a pristine natural area.

Just a quick 2-day romp, live within 2 hours of campground, first time boon docking in our new 27ft Jayco grey hawk. I am always so surprised by the wooded areas of the dunes when we visit. Pros: The site we had (P32) accommodated our size RV with no issue. The site is not on top of another camper, short walk to bathrooms/showers. Quiet and I’m sure if no any overcast, would have been great for stargazing. Grill available. Bathrooms clean, didn’t use showers. Cons: the site is essentially cliff side, more so on the right so backing in (initially) did not give us any room on the exit side door of the RV, so we pulled in head first. This let us exit to our picnic table area. Arrived by 9pm and had some logistic issues with getting set up with auto level/slides so we ended up using our on-board quiet generator to supply power appropriately till 1030, we were scolded by the host the next morning and told rudely we “better figure something else out,” I said we were having electrical issues and couldn’t avoid it but didn’t plan on having the issue again since we were set up. The dude was a dick. We weren’t trying to be rude, emergent issues arise with bad weather. Lots of sand spurs and ground cactus, we didn’t bring our dogs because we knew this already to be an issue. They refuse to close the ladies bathroom door, which offers little privacy except for the stall door. Beach:The beach/boardwalk is about a 10-15 minute walk, so if you don’t have a beach pass to drive and have lots to carry-this could be a con, not for us. Not as rough as it is around the point closer to lighthouse, easier to cast out. Sandbar less than 20 yards off beach that day. It wasn’t buggy at this point, but I imagine it is the hotter it gets. There are some more desirable sites, but no electric/water available at any. I’d happily return regardless. And make sure not to use our generator not a minute past 2200.
