Nice park and clean restrooms

The grounds, location and my particular campsite were very nice. The bathrooms were also good and kept clean. Showers were old, less clean but quite adequate. Occupancy was less than 10% , so I only had to wait when carloads of non campers used the showers. I imagine there would be long wait times if the campground were full.Unfortunately for me with my quiet little solar panel, I was right next to a neighbor with a loud obnoxious generator. I didn't want to bother relocating my tent for the short time I had left, but now I wish I had. I failed to notice the tent only parallel parking campsites when booking on the website, too bad. My One Big Suggestion is to have the tent only sites be generator and loudspeaker free. But I enjoyed my time there and plan to come back.

One the best and most relaxing camping experiences! Been coming here for over 30 yrs with our kids and now grandkids. If your a true camper then this is the place to go

Grounds are well maintained, bathrooms and shower buildings are clean. Sites are great size. Can hear the waves crashing from over the dunes - convenient location to beaches, shops and restaurants! Will definitely visit again and recommend to all fellow campers (rvs and tent owners)!!!

Very nice campground with spacious level lots (paved) and grassy areas between. The bathrooms were clean. The campground has a nice parking lot providing access to the beach and is also close to the lighthouse and visitor center. I wish the sites had some shade but thats the nature of the vegetation that grows there. We went in summer and it was very hot, it would be nice in fall or spring I think.

This is a lovely campground but I wish they would add solar water heaters first the showers. The fireflies are amazing here and the stargazing is top notch. I dont like that inconsiderate rv owners have no regard for others concerning generator use. Rvs and camper trailers should be in specific sections as to not disturb tent campers

Large level sites. Less busy than the other campgrounds. No shade, but very close to multiple beach access points.

This camp ground was super large with many sites. There were very few campers in the camp ground making it almost a private set up. I have one suggestion:Could the park service make a small section for 24 hour generator use? This camp ground makes a very hot camp due to there being no shade. Generator use would help with the heat for older campers like us.The park service's smokemont camp ground in the smokies offers a generator section. Is this something that you could consider to help older campers to he deal with the summer heat?

Very nice, not crowded campground. Very clean facilities. Short walk to the ocean. Short drives to several other access points and ranger program meeting spots.

Lovely spot. Be prepared for strong winds and sudden downpours. Nice facilities. Close to the beaches.

This is the 2nd time I have booked here. I do have some complaints. First only half of the parks grass was mowed and of course where we were was not mowed so it was prob 5-6 inch tall. Then the ants, they were all over our camp site and table area. I called the office and they stated they would send someone during our 3 day stay no one ever came. I even asked the park rangers but they could not help. I the positive, the camp area was busy so Im happy people are camping. Be away of the flys, we brought a big net to play games in.. it was a life saver. No open flames in the camp area but allowed on the beach is a weird rule I dont understand. Over I will come back but I hope they do better maintenance.

One of the best things about this quiet campground is that you cant reserve it more than 5 days out. That really helps keep spots available for folks from North Carolina.

Fantastic National Parks campground sites are long but a tad narrow we were in a 38 class A motorhome and it was a challenge to get into the site, but we did. Lots of space between the sites no hookups but have unheated showers and flush toilets. Great site and we will definitely be back. Thanks

Excellent. After leaving camp Park Ranger contacted me about equipment I left behind and got it back to me.

Late April. Close to bathroom and shower. Close to The Point fishing. But we didn't stay and even up paying extra and camp at Frisco instead. Our tent was infested with biting flies and other bugs that we couldn't even enter our tent. The toilets were infested with bugs that we couldn't even use. The shower had massive tree frogs and bugs too. In October we didn't have this much issues. Definitely not recommended during Spring or Summer. Fall and Winter ok.

This is a huge campground but but its difficult to book it because the inventory often seems to not be released until a couple of days ahead the current date. The campground was nicely mowed, the sites had picnic tables on nicely edged concrete slabs. The camping sites had paved stubs for each site and some of the sites were a bit on the wet side if you're planning to tent. No electricity and no hookups. The bathrooms were clean but the showers are cold water only. There are a few fresh water hydrants but not a lot. There is a fresh water hydrant and dump station on the road leading to the campground. The campground while near the beach is still a deceptively long walk to get too. No hosts but Park Rangers did patrol. There's a lot of through traffic on the outer loop both directions for cars passing through to the beach access (beach access by car requires permit).

Paige was a wonderful host! She checked on us after the storm, and even greeted us at our campsite at Oregon Inlet days later. She's lovely and a real keeper!

Positives: Great location. Bathrooms were clean. Relatively short walk or bike ride to beaches. Sites were well maintained and mowed. Showers available. Fish cleaning station with dumpster near entrance. Negatives: Showers are not heated, limited number of water hydrants, no electric sites, no trees at all (which is actually good if you have Starlink). Biting bugs even in November. Lots of beach access traffic at all hours of the day strangely especially if you are camped in first loop.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
