The cabin was definitely rustic but it was perfect for our family group. Well situated and easy to get to. We did have a problem with starting the stove but the maintenance crew took care of us quickly. We were there during spring break time and it was a little cold for water activities BUT excellent otherwise. Temps we comfortable, excellent shelling, excellent fishing. The campground itself was nice and quiet. Really great experience. No issues with cabin 19 and would stay in it again.

Way too much for the bare bone accommodations. I felt like I got hit by a bus after sleeping on those hard mattresses for a couple days

Excellent Cabin. Private spot with a trail onto beach. Cabin was in great shape. Good hot water. Stove was fairly new. Images show of cabin are old. Cabin was well maintained. Of all the cabins, this one was the best. Great spot. Dogs loved it..

Cabins are as they have been but park service put a new hot water system in there which means actually not hot water anymore. In the cabins and bathhouse.

Although the cabin was not swept by prior guests, everything worked well, especially the hot water.

Great Island Cabins are always a good experience and have been part of making memories for my family for years! The staff is always helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The cabins are just what you need to relax after a day on the beach! Some on the table and chairs could use updating, but you can make do. The fish cleaning station offers plenty of room for everyone and the bath houses are always clean. We look forward to our annual trip each year!

The ranger was pleasant and easy to work with even though I dont think she was being paid because of the shutdown. The cabins were clean and everything worked. GreatJob!

Even though the weather was cold and drizzly, it was beautiful there! Disclaimer though, we had a Subaru outback and we can get around fine on the sand but when the puddles filled with rain we did not have enough clearance to get through any of them because they get DEEP and it took at least 3-4 days for them to drain/dry and be drivable. Elevated trucks seemed okay.it's a nice time of year because guests aren't using generators nearly as much as they do in the summer. Stayed in cabin 7, everything functional.

Despite the federal gov't shutdown, staff were still present and very helpful for check in and answering questions, with a positive attitude.Cabins are functional, but very rustic.

BEDBUGS. Stayed in a cabin for ONE night in September, got bedbugs that infested my house (you don't know you have bedbugs until a few days after). Still dealing with them weeks later!! Would not recommend staying in these cabins.

This visit, like always, was an absolute pleasure. I enjoy the NPS staff interaction and being close to the ocean.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
