We stayed this campground 2 nights. Location is away from main town which I really liked. Quiet and peaceful. Bathroom and hot shower are pretty clean. Black bear walked by around 1AM next to our site. Don't leave any foods! The rangers here were so nice and friendly. Really loved the beautiful lake you can walk by like 10 min from campground. I will definitely go back again.

I've been going to this campground for many years and have always had a very nice experience. Unfortunately, this past time I had to camp next to some young 20 something year old campers that were pretty inconsiderate and partied with loud talking and laughing until 1:30 am. When I found out they extended their stay another night, I had to go to the camp host and asked to be moved. The host was very gracious and understanding explaining that I was not the first to complain about those campers. He put me in an emergency site away from the campers and then talked to them reminding them of the quiet hours. My second night there was much more peaceful and quiet and I appreciate the help of the host. Overall, it's a beautiful campground, clean and usually very quiet.

Unfortunate that the camp store was closed the first two days of our 3 day trip, but that's the breaks. Super kind and accommodating camp host who delivered firewood to us when it was too late in the day (returning from Tahoe activities) to buy it at the kiosk. Campsites were clean, well spaced and reasonably private. Would be awesome if the bear lockers were less clanky noisy - I felt bad disturbing the peace for late night toothbrushing/bathroom trip. Heard a bear walking through our tent camp but we followed all the bear rules, and nothing there for him, he just passed through. Overall a great experience, our first time at this camp.

Clean, roomie, has a space heater and electricity. Great place to camp if you want an easy site setup. 1 full sized bed bunked with a twin bed above and a couch that probably folds out (we kept it in couch mode. There was a table and a chair and lamp as well. Sky light was a plus for light and stars at night. Camp site was clean, restrooms clean and accessible, youll need to bring soap for hand washing. Water is a short walk away and drinkable. Staff was pleasant and informative. If you havent, then, You should. Happy Camping!

We stayed at Fallen Leaf Camp Ground, for two days in our RV. It was one of our best RV experiences due to the fact that this campground was such a pleasure to stay at. Extremely organized, easy with check in and everything about it was superb. We rode our bikes to the Baldwin Beach along the bike path, easy and beautiful scenery. The Fallen Leaf Lake has some of the most spectacular views.Highly recommend this campground when visiting Lake Tahoe.

Weve tent camped for many years. This was our first time at Fallen Leaf Lake. It is now our #1 camping spot!! Loved the easy accessibility to bike trails and hiking. Campsites were large and allowed plenty of space to spread out. We will be back!!!

Wonderful campground. Very big but campsites are widely spaced.
@LauraS4657948 · Camped on Jun 1, 2025 at Campsite #36
Site #36 is across from the camp hosts (or contracted staff?) and restroom facilities. There isnt much privacy, but the site vehicle area is very big. Bear container, table, fire ring all provided. Campground has amenities and small store if you need anything. No bear sightings.

Since this was off season, first week in June, there were no crowds, facilities were very clean and staff was very attentive.

Excellent staff at check in.Accommodated request for moving to another location since there was a huge party with kids, disrupting the quiet and peace.Rangers were called, but next day the commotion continued.The location is fabulous. Site are well placed, but there needs to be better rules and communication of yelling and screaming during non-quiet hours too.

Very nice campground with spacious sites for the most part. Guaranteed to see bears but staff was actively nudging them out of the campground frequently. Highlight of the trip was a camp host named Martin! Genuinely nice guy, sincerely helpful and truly an ambassador for Fallen Leaf campground! We will be back and hope to camp in Martins section again!

This campground was an awesome experience. Site 141 was large enough for our 28ft. TT and full size-truck. The paved site was nice and level. Overall, the sites were pretty spacious. The concession company contracted to maintain the campground was great. The staff were very helpful. The bathrooms and showers were clean. There is a nice and convenient dump station on grounds. There is also an abundant amount of potable water faucets around the campground to fill up an RV/TT water tank. Regarding site 141, there is a nice looking pine tree just off the pad, in the middle, that prevented our awning from being completely open.

Great spot, pretty private for how big the campground is
@MuoiCBB489ADBD · Camped on May 30, 2025 at Campsite #183
Site 183 requires walking farther to the picnic table and fire pit from the driveway compared to the sites nearby. And it is quite large allowing for more space between you and your neighbors. Theres a plenty of space to choose from to place your tent too.

We had such a nice time at Fallen Leaf Lake. Our campsite (#73) was great for our 36 ft Fifth Wheel. It was a large campsite with a good amount of shade. The bathrooms were close and we had a spigot next to our campsite. There were 2 bears walking around, so we just kept our distance. The lake is a short walk from this campsite. It is a great lake for kayaks and paddle boards. There are also lots of hikes near Fallen Leaf Lake. Can't wait to go back!

Great experience at Fallen Leaf Campground. The site was clean and the check-in process was simple. We loved exploring the nearby Fallen Leaf Lake. Would definitely stay here again.
@CliffTAC520335 · Camped on May 27, 2025 at Campsite #181
The staff at Fallen Leaf were great.Recommendation:Our original assigned spot was barely big enough to park our 26' RV trailer which has total length of 30' which meant no room to park our truck. This has not been a problem on our many other reservations over the years at your other parks.
@CristineHC8716 · Camped on May 27, 2025 at Campsite #184
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Fallen Leaf Campground. The park has been well maintained and the restrooms were clean and in working order as were the showers. The staff was also very friendly and attentive to keeping the bear out of the sites.

Beautiful lake! Went kayaking, sat on the beach with our books. Water is cold but several people went swimming. We saw a young bear.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
