Even though the weather was brisk / cold, the campground was as nice as ever. We camp here and attend the Oktoberfest activities close by each fall. The camp store was closed for the season and there was no firewood available onsite, which was unfortunate. Notice on the website would have been nice. Everything is maintained and clean i.e. campsites, bathrooms & showers. We'll definitely be back.

Love this campground, will always stay here if it isnt booked up. Beautiful grounds, nice and clean facilities, easy access to Fallen Leaf Lake included in the cost.

Fallen Leaf Lake was gorgeous. Water like glass in the morning and gentle waves here and there later on. Lots of swimming (I was one of two people who went in that I saw, and I was in Heaven)! Saw my first Black Bear and the salmon spawning at Rainbow Bridge. there was some trash left in my campground by the previous campers, but I just picked it up and put it in a trash bag and that was that. One thing I wish had been different was that the camp store was closed even though this season wasn't over. That was the only reason I drove the entire trip --- to go get firewood. It was a wonderful visit and I wish I was back there now.

I love this campground. It is kept so clean. I'm very disappointed that the doggie poop bags have been taken away. I picked up a GIANT POOP on the beach which was not from my dog. Also, PLEASE put liquid soap in the bathrooms. Over 200 campsites at $41 a night I think you can afford it. Again, I love this campground but these issues need to be addressed. Thank you!

This was an extremely large camp for us to stay in but luckily all our neighbors were very respectful of noise and the sites are decently spaced. It’s a beautiful area for people to learn to love to camp. Listen to the bear safety! One walked by us just as we were about to start cooking breakfast.

Great location for price. A bit ways away from the classic Tahoe "Scene" and people, but for the day/night we were there, was perfect. Bathrooms where spotless and appreciated single use given Covid times. Would return!!

Fallen Leaf had just opened a few days before we arrived. Due to COVID-19, all the showers were closed, as was communicated. The reason I only gave a 3 star rating to this campground (which we have stayed many times in the past and it was amazing) were three items:1. The bathrooms were NEVER wiped down as said on the website. We were there for two nights and only the toilet paper was replenished, but the bathrooms were NEVER cleaned!2. The website and staff said they were fully open, however, the store by the entrance was boarded up and closed, strange.3. Staff at the kiosk has no knowledge of the surrounding area. particularly Lake Angora area, wanted to know if they were open. Since this area requires you to hike a few miles up a hill, it would have been nice to know if the Lake Angora's famous lemonade stand was open.

A wonderful campground that is well laid out; even in the crowded summer season, we still felt surrounded by nature. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was very helpful! Definitely will recommend this campground!
