Campground is nice. Wildlife is OUT OF CONTROL. Bears & coyotes rampant. What's next year, crocodiles? Do better at managing this problem. Such a shame. My family did NOT have a pleasant stay because we were looking over our shoulder the whole time for bears. And yes, 2 came into our campground, 5 feet away from me in the pitch black of night. Not an enjoyable or pleasant feeling. The way your host described them as "12 fluffy bunnies" or whatever she says is ridiculous, and illuminates the problem -- that is you treat them like revered pets instead of wild animals. Oh well I guess thats the California attitude about everything.

This was a fantastic site. The people that worked here were so friendly, the bathrooms were super clean, and the site was secluded. We hope to go back again soon.

We stay at Fallen Leaf twice a year and always love it. Good hiking with several lake options. It is also the favorite location for our black lab.

Campsite was clean, quiet, close to Taylor creek and a very short walk to Fallen Leaf lake. Really enjoyed the chipmunks chasing each other, they were very entertaining. Star gazing was magnificent! I will definitely stay again!

Loved Fallen Leaf. Site 70 was a great site for our campervan. Almost level and well spaced from next door neighbors (but since neighbors are pull-throughs you will most likely be listening to generators, which can run all day at Fallen Leaf). We were close enough to walk to lake. Close to bathroom which was clean with flush toilets. Electricity did not work in either men's or woman's bathroom. There is a bike trail over to Lake Tahoe and So. Lake Tahoe. Fallen Leaf Rd is a horrible mess and whoever is responsible should be re-paving the whole thing.

The campground was very nice. The gate gals are awesome and helpful. The lake was beautiful. Please be bear aware and dispose of your trash in the dumpsters provided and keep food in the bear boxes when not using.

We recently purchased a 30ft class C motor home and chose Fallen Leaf campground as our very first campground! We were unfortunately only able to secure a 1 day reservation due to our last minute planning but were be satisfied with this location! Everything was clean and easily assess me. We stayed at site #70 which is a curved pull through site and it was a great accommodation for our size RV. Since we are noobies, we actually had to back out of this site to get out instead of pulling through. Fallen leaf lake was a wonderful perk, we actually prefer it over the Great Lake Tahoe! Fallen Leaf was much cleaner and clearer. Will definitely be back!
