My campsite neighbors are responsible for this poor review and my camping experience. On the first and only night, they stayed up past 1am talking loudly, making noise. At 3 am, I noticed a flickering reflection on my tent. I went outside and noticed the negligent neighbors didn't properly extinguish their campfire.

Beautiful place, mostly helpful and friendly staff. Fred and Deb are super helpful and go out of their way to keep facilities clean.

Good site - #57 - right beside water spigot and near bathrooms. Not very shady until late afternoon. Great campground! Ice and firewood in good supply. Showers work well ($1 = 1 token = 3 minutes). Great location not only for Fallen Leaf Lake but also striking distance via walking/biking to Camp Richardson and South Lake Tahoe/Stateline.

I t was great, but you flooded out the camp site. And the one next to us. I realize there was e coli , but someone should of stated to see what was going to happen when they let the water out. That was dumb! We could of lost all the wood we brought. Over all it was beautiful.Could get a free night if possible??Thanks!Roberta and Charli DeMartini

We love the campground. It is very clean and quiet. The lake is stunning, lot's of walking trails, and a great place to ride bikes.

Great campsite. Great for biking. Way too many RVs which is an eyesore. Bear are also present too.

Fallen Leaf Lake Camp Ground is one of the most amazingly located, best operated and kept camp ground!!! As a South Lake Tahoe local, I truly appreciate being able to stay here... Unfortunately though, the number of people and their behaviour this last season made my experience less enjoyable. They are just generally loud and obnoxious. Also, the Yellow Jackets were truly unbearable mid-September, I had to sit in my tent for the better part of the day with my dog even without any kind of food around. I know that's a hard one to control. I'll try again this year, perhaps early season when it's more peaceful and quiet.

We really enjoy Fallen Leaf campground and have been going there every year! The bathrooms are never too far away and the staff is always friendly. The only negative is that it is so popular it is very difficult to make reservations!

Hidden Gem. Clean facilities, campsites are large and fairly excluded, 2 minute walk to fallen leaf lake, 15 minute walk to Lake Tahoe.
