great location, off the beaten path the lake Tahoe crowd. The lake is 4 miles long. my wife and I kayaked all the way around. just a fun time. clean restrooms' and big camp sites. we took our toy hauler and did not see but heard our neighbor yelling at a bear to get out of our camp site. we took our mountain bikes and took the trails to lake Tahoe, a short ride but very enjoyable. we continued to fallen leaf lake on our bikes, and stopped to check out the lake. it is a dog friendly camp site so we saw what we thought was a dog pop his head up behind a log and realized it was a bear. ( WAY COOL ). we warned an elderly couple that the bear was walking there way. the man ran and the woman started throwing food at the bear. we advised her not too but very funny at the same time. the only down fall was the hornets by the bank and some at the camp. if it was colder they would not be there. lesson learned.
