Site 11 was excellent. Close to bathhouse, level enough that we didn't have to use any blocks for side to side. Will be going back.

I enjoyed my stay here. I had fun kayaking in a protected area because the other area by the dam was very wavy. I enjoyed hearing the waves and seeing them though. I enjoy waking up to the lovely sound of waves. One bathroom didn't have a light so you would need to carry your flashlight there. Your flashlight can be hung in several places. The other bathroom had lights. I love hearing the airplanes fly overhead too. It is a fun park to me.

Bathrooms were clean. Campsite was maintained. But the waters edge was a disaster. Overgrown and stickers everywhere. Having access to the water was our priority and we did not really get to enjoy that.

Airport park is a beautiful camp. It is clean and well maintained. The only draw back is the 5:00 am flight to Dallas. It goes directly over the park and is a definite wake-up call each morning. Otherwise it's a great place to relax and unwind.

Nice , quiet little park by the lake and airport. Few pesky gnats, but nothing real bad.

Site 21 is great and the view is wonderful. The only downside is these are not full hookups. I wish the Army Corps sites would do as well as the State sites and provide full hookups instead of just electric and water.

We were in site 64 with our 32 class A coach for a week with 3 of the grandkids and this site was a full hook up which we liked we didnt have to move to dump the tanks, we were close to the water for fishing and the morning sunrises were beautiful, site is paved a just a bit of a slope but not a big deal, this site is a pull thru site so that was great, there is no cover on the picnic table due to the past flooding but we just used a tarp to pull over the top. We had deer show up in the morning and evening so that was nice. All n all this was a great site. There is a bit of small plane traffic but its all good considering your next to a small airport .

Airport Park is very popular due to the proximity of sites to Lake Waco, providing lots of opportunities for fishing, walking, seeing beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and sitting around the campfire. We spent 4 nights utilizing 3 different campsites. All 3 sites were great2 were FHU, and one was water/electric only. Be sure to get a map of the park to help you choose the site(s) that best fit your camping style. Watch out for the deer and other wildlife!

Site 21 is almost level with a beautiful view of the lake, very little shade. The sunsets were gorgeous. My husband fished on the shore right in front of our spot and caught catfish. We enjoyed watching the many fisherman out on the lake at all hours. The park itself needs lots of restoration-painting, replacing, repair. The most disappointing thing was the unbelievable amount of grass burs. We took our two dogs and every time they ventured off the payment, they would come limping back. I have never picked SO MANY grass burs out of paws, fur, shoe laces, rugs, and absolutely anything else they could stick too. We had to leave the park to take the girls for a walk along a trail. I don't know if we will revisit this park in the future.

We love Airport Park. It is so peaceful with awesome sunsets. The airplanes just add a little character to the whole experience.

We have enjoyed several visits to Airport Park. We weren't able to reserve our favorite sites, but have never found a site that disapoints. We don't boat or fish, but are always happy to walk the roads and observe the wildlife--deer, turkeys, and birds. It is very quiet and sites are spacious. No complaints, only praise.
@DaleB2844532 · Camped on Sep 10, 2025 at Campsite #57
The park needs to be mowed and the stickers are out of control. There are no tops on the picnic tables for shade. This park is always full and such a beautiful lake but needs some attention.
@RobertM1452522 · Camped on Sep 6, 2025 at Campsite #31
Our site was horribly out of level. This should be clearly stated on the web page (for the site). And maintenance around the campground was awlful. Weeds everywhere.

We love coming to Airport Park! Staff at the gate are always friendly. It's convenient for Waco exploration, the lake views are amazing, and the sites are large. Cell service can be spotty, but we have Starlink and there's plenty of open space for it to work well. Many sites are not shaded, so it gets quite hot in the summer. Plenty of access to grocery stores, restaurants, and gas stations. Overall, always a great stay!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
