Beautiful park, unfortunately it rained a lot while we were there but we still had a great time. Its near Waco with lots to do including Chip and Joannas Magnolia (Silos) and many great places to eat. The lake was great for fishing, well be back for sure.

The park has its name for a reason and you have to enjoy watching airplanes take off & land to understand why we liked our site (# 78). It was directly under the flightpath, but that's what we wanted. We've stayed there before. Most of the rest of the park is away from the flight path and also near the lake.

Our camping site was in a very good spot. We could watch the deer every day and I liked the split level site. The girls at the park entrance gate were very nice and funny at times. The park is a very good one to visit.

Airport Park is a great place to relax, we spent 5 nights here Tue-Sat. The only distraction is that you are next to the Waco airport, which is busier than you might expect. Our site was right in the flight path for take-offs and landings (depending on wind direction), so there were many low-flying aircraft, which is a bit noisy. The largest plane was a regional jet, so not as bad as being close to a major airport though. Overall, it's a great place, the site was clean and well-kept. We didn't use any of the facilities so I can't speak to how clean they were.

We love the park and try to camp there once a month with a group of about five couples. Only thing we have been having trouble with is the dog people think they do not have to clean up behind them. Last time one of our camp site had piles of pop all around the whole camp site and smell was bad could not visit with them. They were in 76. Benice if there was a way to let the dog people know some of us aren't dog people. Nobody in our group owns a dog. William Abernathy
