Site 94 was pretty flat in the upper loop Hard to back into with a 40ft motorhome But doable. we did the loop no problem With plenty of room on the road not towing anything. Kids caught fish in the lake.. trout and we cooked it. Visited in early Oct before they closed for the season. cold at night but we had heat in rv, so we were good. Not busy Fall colors here and there. Nice campground Host were helpful and informative rod and Lisa. We had a good first time visit.

We had a great stay. The campsites were well-tended and the bathrooms were clean - the two most important criteria for our stay. Thank you!

Twin Lakes is a great campground in the Mammoth Lakes basin. Most sites are just a few feet/yards away from the lakes, they have running water and flushing toilets. The bathrooms were kept very clean, and the camp host was friendly and helpful.

Excellent (and beautiful) campground with plenty of space between sites. Well-maintained grounds and friendly staff. What a lovely place to relax.

one of the most beautiful campsites i've ever been to in california. loved everything about the actual site, facilities, and surrounding nature and paths to walk or hike! we are already planning and talking about coming back in the summer! we stayed at lot #9 and saw a bear our first night. we had no food out or anything with strong scents. they bear just walked through nicely. it was my husband's first time seeing a bear that close so it was very memorable for him to say the least!

Experience was pleasant. The description of the campsite definitely was accurate. Facilities were maintained daily with hand soap. Campsite were kept clean fishing biking hiking, as well as a general store was on site.

We had a great site in Twin Lakes CG, #30 was large and backed up to the forest and a couple of trails. It was a short stroll to different views of the gorgeous waterfall, the bridges crossing the lake, and to the general store. Bathrooms were clean. Our hosts, Frank and Virginia, were nice and informative, hope they are there when we return next year!

Host was curt and unfriendly. Showers close early. Our campsite had a tent spot that was a pool. We asked to shift to a vacant site and were told we only could if we paid for both sites. So we pitched the tent in the driveway. Campground was a mess of gravel from a previous storm and no effort to clean it up was made the two days we were there.

This is a great somewhat remote campsite. You have quick access to all the Mammoth Lakes. The camp hosts are friendly and helpful. You will not get full cell service. Texts only. The sites are very tight for larger rigs. The site itself may be fine but you may not be able to swing your trailer/RV into it.

This is a beautiful campground. We were very lucky to get a campsite due to some last minute cancellations. The camphost was very nice and so helpful. The bathrooms were kept clean, there was no litter and our site was reasonably flat. The fall colors reflecting on the lake were a special treat.

It would have been a 5 star review if we didn't have to pay $8 to take a shower... It was pretty rainy and cold, but the ground was soft, the sights were beautiful and I loved it!
@BeatriceFF1727 · Camped on Sep 29, 2025 at Campsite #76
The weather was the main factor in this camping experience. When I arrived it started to rain, not just rain, but hale, a HARD hale. The kind that makes camper scurry like mice being chased by a large cat. And the wind...it would not stop. I was not able to set up my tent and had to sleep in my car. The whole night was constant pounding on the roof of my car and the whistling of the wind. In the morning, I decided to cut my trip short as I was sure the cold weather was not going to let me enjoy the beauty around me. I'm more of a Spring and Summer type.Regardless, the area is beautiful with lake views, big trees giving shade to camp sites, and paved roads with lots of walking trails. I will be back when the weather is more to my liking...

Beautiful and clean place to camp!

Its a shared space not really ideally, but we made it work. Fire place is a little far away from the site

Campsites were spacious and beautiful and location was great for multiple activities. Activities - hiking, fishing, sightseeing - were within walking distance, or you could take the shuttle to shorten the hike or even goin to town. we had to move sites mid-trip, but campground hosts in both areas were tremendous and accommodating.

Twin Lake Campground was lovely! Lots of lovely paths for walking, biking and hiking. The upper lake loop was amazing especially Lk George with the changing Autume Leaves. Also fun to pop into Mammoth. Enjoyed also driving up to the Mineretts Lookout, Mammoth Ski area and high mountain off roading. Overall a Wonderful location!

Beautiful campsite! Spacious campsites. Bathrooms were clean, had sinks and electricity. There were buckets by the bathrooms for putting out your fire which was very convenient. Overall a beautiful and well-maintained campsite with friendly people.

The site was clean and camp hosts were lovely. What left the site in the good category is how steep the grade was for attempting to level out the RV. We weren't able to safely level out forcing us to keep the room slide closed. The camp site listing does list the grade as severe and I might have been over optimistic about what that meant.

The campgrounds have a splendid location surrounded by the lakes, waterfalls, and cliff views. It has the cleanest restrooms that I have ever seen in NPs! The only downside is that the showers are pricey and available only between 10am-5pm which is pretty much when you are out hiking or exploration.

The site itself was well maintained and the camp hosts were lovely!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
