Enormous pile of wood chips right in the middle of the campsite where the tent site would normally be. Bummer.

Campsite 008 is in a busy location, runs adjacent to the walking/bike trail as well as steps away from the general store which offers pay showers. We were disappointed to arrive e and find a mountain of wood chips in the middle of our campsite. Gave us less options for where to set up tents. There is an active bear which got into our bear locker for food storage the first night we were there; didnt realiythat the handle to the bear locker once locked has to be removed and left to dangle. The bear was able to open our locker and ate an entire bag of Marshmallows, an entire box of Hostess Chocolate Zingers and a large pack of Hawaiian King Rolls. Not to mention the mess he left. The mosquitos are probably the worst part about this campground this year. So many mosquitoes, my husband and I have so many mosquitoes bites!! You cant beat the scenery though. Just beautiful and there is a trolley that will pick you up and take you into the village. You can also rent boats, Kayaks and Bikes.

Very nice location. Not the most private, if you are wanting the wilderness experience. Very clean campground. People seemed to be very respectful of the surrounding outdoor space. There were however bear tracks running through campground, so perhaps someone forgot to toss a sandwich in the bear bin.
