Great place to spend the night! Helpful staff pointed us to an awesome lake for our backpack.

A great campsite location by Lake Mary. The sites were spacious and not too close to the next site. The bathrooms were clean.

The mosquitos here were relentless. Make sure you have mosquito repellent handy before you exit your vehicle/camper. Otherwise it was beautiful, the sound of the creek was nice and the hikes from the campground were great. Biking around the area was fun too but being at the top meant a roll into town for ice cream (do not miss Local Scoop) was followed by a significant climb back up. The campground quiet and well maintained. No cell service.

This is a beautiful campground near hiking trails, parks and nature attractions, and Mammoth lakes. It's close to Yosemite, Mono lake, Obsidian Dome, natural hot springs, Hot Creek, June Lake and more. The bathrooms are regularly maintained and cleaned by the friendly and helpful camp hosts. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because of the biting flies that are there, I think this is due to the stables nearby. I don't remember biting flies being native to this area. They are a real nuisance. I'm hoping something can be done about them.

This is a great campground. Nice large campsites. Unfortunately, there were many flies this year that were biting. Worse than mosquitoes.

Stumbled across this campground while researching Mammoth. We have a 31 ft fifth wheel and only a few spots were suitable for us but the site we selected (61) was great. Getting in and out of the campground was tight but backing into the site was no issue. Make sure you do your research if you're in a larger rig. Great hiking right from the campground and we'd thought we'd have access to Lake Mary but that was not the case as we had to drive and park along the shore to launch kayak and SUPs. Mosquitos were aggressive so be sure to bring sufficient amounts of bug spray. Just a few minutes from Mammoth and while we had the ability to make and receive phone calls, emails and texts were sparse. We'll be back.

This site was just perfect for my group! The Restrooms, trash bins and water faucet were a short walk away. Driveway is on a small incline, but the bearbox/pit area flattened out at the top. Behind the bear box, we were able to comfortably fit two 6p Tents and had room for possibly another or 4p. Aside from a rock or two buried in the ground we did not find it a bad layout.

Very nice campground. Beautiful views all around the area. The road in the campground is horrible for pulling a travel trailer through.

Great campsite for hikes!...

We loved this clean, quiet campground. It felt more secluded than the last one we had stayed in at Mammoth. The restrooms were clean and lit even at night. There were LOTS of flying insects during the afternoon and evening but thats part of camping. Fortunately we had come prepared with bug repellent and escaped with just a few mosquito bites. Would stay here again.

Great campground. Close to all hikes and lakes. Loved the sound of the creek while camping. Great hosts as well.

Our family had a great experience at Coldwater Campground. The lake was just steps away from camp. The grounds were nice and quiet with a beautiful view of a waterfall falling from the towering mountain range behind us. Bathrooms were clean and they even had showers which is a plus for tent campers like us. This campground is dog friendly too. You can paddle board and fish in the lake or just wade in the water. Its cold though. The rangers are on site at all times and are super friendly. The only downfall were the mosquitos. So many mosquitos!

We camped at #26. I loved all the space, especially the creek across the road where we often sat and read or enjoyed a beverage. Bathroom was close but not smelly. A couple of things that bothered my partner: the table was in full sun most of the day, LOTS of mosquitoes and our neighbor sites table was close to ours.

Second time camping here and it was a good experience. The camp hosts do a great job, the facilities are clean & the campsite was quiet. Great location for jumping into some hikes (Heart lake, duck pass, etc). I'd definitely camp here again
@ConnieK9949110 · Camped on Jun 19, 2025 at Campsite #69
bathrooms were clean, location was excellent, as the trailheads to nearby heart lake, arrowhead lake, etc were so close by and easily accessible.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
