Too many giant RVs with people who do not understand "less is more."

Pros: Very generous sized campsites. Clean grounds, close to everything. Our site this year was very shady. Camp hosts were nice and communicated well. Lots of squirrels, chipmunks, birds, and even deer sightings. So relaxing to hang out and watch the wildlife, hang in the hammock, or do axe throwing with the kids. Lots of trails nearby, and close to the creek.Cons: Pit toilets were almost full, stank, and were full of flies. Every time the wind kicked up, which was daily, the smell of human waste permeated the entire campground. (The camp hosts cited budget issues due to waste disposal management.) There are bears every year, and that is part of camping! This years bear was next level. In camp all day and everyday, it was breaking into trailers, harassing the tent campers, and was not afraid of either loud noises or human presence. Usually, bears are opportunists, but this bear stayed and hunted all day. At night, we constantly heard airhorns and panic alarms. Made it hard to sleep, or trust letting the kids wander around. If this was my first trip here, I probably wouldnt return. As it stands, I come yearly and will come again, but I hope management figures out the budget (and bear response) issues for next year!

This site was good, overall. The site we stayed at had plenty of space for our 8-man tent. The host was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are not flushies and the smell was at times very bad! That was the only drawback.

Lots of RV and off road campers here. As a tent camper, not a big fan, but everyone seemed respectful of each other. Sites were decent size and we were right near the front of camp which meant lots of traffic, but not a big issue. Pit toilets were clean and well maintained. Firewood available from the host. There was some bear activity in the campground but we did not see it at all.

Campsite 11 and 12 lack of any kind of shade. No trees close by. Parking distance is way to far to campsite and crosses other people's campgrounds plus two creeks. Bathrooms a little farer than the parking lot and are septic vault which smelled so bad. Finally, no park rangers patrol those campgrounds neither the hosts. We had the bears trying to assault our campground twice and nobody helped.

This was our 3rd time camping there. We have tried a different site each time. This one was way smaller than the other two we have had and it was not flat at all. Very rocky. Plants through the middle of it. We were pretty disappointed. The camp hosts and location were great as always though!

We had a great time. Its a very clean park and a very attentive camp host. He was able to help us find local spots and was very helpful. We stayed in this park and its a nice drive to Yosemite. Mammoth has good restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We will be staying at this campground again.

The site was nice, but the wind constantly blew dust across the road and into our site which was annoying. If it wasnt windy the site was pretty good. The neighbors next door were kind of close, but that turned out to be fine. The hosts of the campground were great and the bathrooms were clean. We love this campground and have returned for many years.

Lovely site +lovely host = happy campers. Site 76 is spacious, surrounded by wild roses and of course the creek which drowns out all the generators! The hosts were friendly and provided great advice for day hikes. Only downside was the dust- otherwise a fantastic option.

Camp site was busy but quiet. No bears, plentiful water, clean restrooms. No mobile service. Short drive to a few trailheads. Camp host was friendly.

We loved our camping trip at Sherwin. The hosts were phenomenal and very helpful. The bathrooms were very clean. The campsite was big and the creek was so nice and relaxing, especially to fall asleep to. It feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, but it's only about a 7 minute drive to Vons and town.

Too many fleas. Didn't know there was a plague warning.

Okay, the reviews about the camp hosts are invalid. As of June 23rd, the camp hosts were wonderful. The grounds have lots of shade on every site. There are two creeks that run along the property N/S and E/W. Both had fish in them. The entry sites will be dusty, as the entire grounds are all dirt, no concrete. If youre into "glamping" this is not the area for you. It is 7 minutes from Vons if you forgot anything or need a supply run. No bears during my visit, but definitely they are around. Friendly people, only 1 night had a quiet hours violation. 8/10 for me.

Host was very friendly. Creek is not really visible from any campsites due to brush and requires a little walk. There were mice running around the campsite at night and we caught several mice each night that had snuck up into our RV presumably from underneath. Lots of hills at the campground and gravel so not good for kids bikes, but E-bikes can survive it . Lots of people with off roading vehicles.

This campground is great. With the creek running around the site and wildlife all around. Its a beautiful place full of nature ready to make all the memories. Its close to town also which is great.

Great spot and was a pretty quiet camp site. The camp hosts were inviting and knowledgeable. Thsy let us know a mama bear was raising her cub on the outskirts of the camp, we didn't get to see her though.

It was very windy and cold for mid-to-late June but sometimes that happens and it can't be helped. There was a Moto-X motorcycle event going on in town and we had a lot of young kids on dirt bikes going a bit too fast up and down the dirt road in front of our campsite for the weekend but that wasn't *too* bad, and the camp host had in fact asked them not to at least once. Kids, what do you do? :) Overall, we really like the campground and how it's managed and taken care of. Bathrooms are always clean and the sites are taken care of. We really like it here.

Camp host Debbie and her husband are the best! This site was great for an RV. Can hear the creek at night.

Such an awesome campground. We have been staying here every year for the past 11 yrs. The park is well kept, bathrooms are clean, the host are friendly and the "camp animals" are always fun to see.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
