Superb location and very friendly camphosts make you feel instantly welcome at Coldwater Campground! The nearby Lake Mary is a wonderful place for a morning stroll, just make sure you pack warm clothes as the temperatures after mid-september can become quite chilly!

Great campgrounds close to Lake Mary and Mammoth Village. Camp host was great and bathrooms were clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful campsite! We stayed in late June and loved our stay. We saw a bear walking along the creek near the campground, so make sure you take the bear precautions seriously and store your food properly! Gorgeous area and so many fun biking trails in the area! The free Mammoth Lakes shuttle will drop you off pretty close to the campground as well, if you want to visit the town. Beautiful area and can't wait to go back!

Clean bathrooms. Camp hosts were very helpful. It was close to our trailhead for Duke Lake so it was a perfect location. Close to "downtown" Mammoth so if you want to eat off site it is very convenient. Noticed an amazing paved dedicated bike trail I would like to try.

The only reason I did not give it "very good" was that after camping in Yosemite, Zion, and June Lake it does not have the wow factor in terms of beauty. They had also done a bunch of tree clearing which added to the less than stellar visual impact.

Would I stay here again? Maybe. There are other campgrounds in the area to check out. This one was far better than the one on the lake that you first drive in on - too much traffic on that one. At least we were pretty isolated in the back.
