We had a great experience at Colter Bay. The hook-ups worked fine and our site was level. The bathrooms were warm and clean. We were close to the lake and several trails. There are a lot of trees - which is nice, but partially blocked the Starlink signal. We were there late in the season and most of the visitor services were already closed - which made for a slower paced visit. The campground was full, but we had a great experience and would happily stay at Colter Bay again.Colter Bay is expensive, as are most in-park campgrounds with hook-ups. Our senior pass provides for 1/2 off; however, beware that Colter Bay separates its fee into a campground fee and an electricity charge and the senior discount only applies to the campground fee. The electricity charge is pretty close to the campground fee - so with the discount - the total fee is pretty close to $100 per night.

Peaceful, clean and with nice shaded sites but some sites are very hard to level your camper on like my site 428 which look good but I could not level my truck bed camper on it.

Great location. This campground puts you in the middle of the park with easy access to yellowstone and jackson. With electric/water/sewer for the price in this area is well worth it. Sites were a little tight, but plenty of space to be comfortable. Very quiet and close to lake and wildlife viewing. Highly recommend.

We were unable to get to this campground due to weather, we tried to call to let them know but there was no signal where we were stuck. I call the day we were to arrive once I had a signal and left a message as no one answered. I went on line and did the live messaging but this person was unable to help me because she said you cannot cancel after you have checked in. I explained that we were no where near the campground which was why we were cancelling. I was told that I had to call the park, but no one answered there. I had asked for the name of the person that was documented as the person who checked us in but was not provided with it. I got a call back 2 days later. I explained that I understood that I would probably not receive any of my funds back but that they should be made aware of what transpired. The gentleman told me it did not matter because there was no refund. I told him it does matter as it appears you have dishonest people working at your site. He kept telling me it did not matter and we went around on this about 4 times. Finally I said to him that there are many places that will offer a discount if you pay cash and that it appears that might be what happened with our reservation as someone was checked in under our name and we had already paid for the site. Dishonest is dishonest and I guess some people do not see that as a problem. I DO!!! Why would I stay some where that is OK with employees like that, kind of what is wrong with the world today.

Very friendly staff, even with the govt shutdown. Nice, well maintained campsite. Beautiful views by the lake, and close to all the things Grand Teton has to offer.

Quiet, comfortable, restroom's cleaned everyday. Showers were spotless and were being cleaned each time we used them. Ladies at the laundry were helpful and friendly. Campsites were clean and level.

Absolutely stunning area! We got a site that was closest to the lake. So beautiful! My number one recommendation when traveling through Grand Teton or Yellowstone is to download the app called GuideAlong. That made our trip! It's a GPS guided tour that give you "must stop" places and tidbits and history along the way. Well worth the $30!

This campground has a lot of trees and most sites are between. I was afraid we wouldnt have room to navigate but we were fine in a 37 motorhome. Site ended being level enough that we didnt have to block.

I booked site # 472 for 2 nights and booked it for additional night when I saw it was shown as available on recreation . gov for an additional night. When we arrived at the park, about 30 minutes early, I was told the space was still occupied. The park ranger said to go park in the parking lot next to the laundry mat and come back in 30 minutes. When we came back we were told the site was still occupied and we have to move to a different site for our first night. We were placed in site #461. The site was too short for our 33 5th wheel. When I disconnected my truck I was in the road and I ended up parking beside the 5th wheel but was still on the edge of the road. Our next site was much longer and allowed me to park in front of the 5th wheel without hanging out on the road. The site was gravel and mostly level. It had been raining so it was muddy everywhere. The park is very pretty and heavy wooded with large pine trees. For what you get I feel the park is overpriced.

Sites were long & pull through, rec areas were close by & lake activities, although most things were closed due to end of season. Close driveway into Yellowstone to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, old faithful & Hayden Valley , good moose area, & great bike trailsaround Tetons

Colter Bay is very convenient to the entire Grand Tetons National Park. The sites were pretty tight for a 40 w/toad, but there were a lot of trees and otherwise nice.

The RV park has many great spots in the shady pines near the lake. We were there to enjoy the spectacular fall colors.

Colter Bay is an awesome campground. Sites are relatively level and have lots of shade. Sites here are larger than those at Fishing Bridge campground in Yellowstone. This was an excellent base for our exploration of Grand Teton NP.

Bwautiful location with direct access to the Lakeshore Trail on Jackson Lake. Very friendly and helpful at entry, laundry and showers. Quick access to all Grand Teton has to offer-we chose to hike the Jenny Lake Trail and had a beautiful day and a terrific 7 mile hike-just spectacular. I also got a good chunk of bike riding in-but the shoulder is not the best-passable with light traffic.

Nice, quiet RV area. We were there during the low season so many of the services/shops weren't open but laundry and showers were, with limited hours, $5 to shower, no time limit. Beautiful area to explore, Colter Bay is centrally located. Would go again.

Site spacing was good. Didnt like that you had to pay $5 for a shower or $15 for a group up to 5 (really). Otherwise, good spot to jump offfor exploring Grand Teton NP

I am deeply disappointed with the facilities provided at Colter Bay, whilst being one of the most expensive campsites I stayed at, it was by far the worst.You should be ashamed of the level of service available for $136, in fact it is outrageous.My advice to anyone stay at Signal Mountain campsite.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
