I booked site # 472 for 2 nights and booked it for additional night when I saw it was shown as available on recreation . gov for an additional night. When we arrived at the park, about 30 minutes early, I was told the space was still occupied. The park ranger said to go park in the parking lot next to the laundry mat and come back in 30 minutes. When we came back we were told the site was still occupied and we have to move to a different site for our first night. We were placed in site #461. The site was too short for our 33 5th wheel. When I disconnected my truck I was in the road and I ended up parking beside the 5th wheel but was still on the edge of the road. Our next site was much longer and allowed me to park in front of the 5th wheel without hanging out on the road. The site was gravel and mostly level. It had been raining so it was muddy everywhere. The park is very pretty and heavy wooded with large pine trees. For what you get I feel the park is overpriced.

This was our second trip to Colter Bay, but the first in a very long time. The RV Park is in a good location central to both the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. We were there in early June and the crowds were very manageable. Our site was a little tight to get in and out with our 5th wheel, but we managed with a spotter. Views were amazing, staff were pleasant and helpful. Wildlife was abundant! Would recommend this park but remind everyone to book as early as possible due to high demand.

Dinner at signal point was horrible. Over salted, over cooked, just bad. Told, a new chef started and I think he came from grade school cafeteria. Maybe it was even worst then that. Coulter Bay camp grounds are wonderful !!!!!!!!!

ProsCampsites are a short walk from the beach, lake, and extraordinary backdrop of the Grand Tetons. Check-in was quick and rangers very knowledgeable. Two negatives are the outrageously high prices of groceries at the general store (double the average price), and the campsites are small and tightly together.

Absolutely loved our stay. The things to do are endless. My only complaint is that not all amenities were not available. Its called in season with in season pricing, but its not really. Other than that it was incredible.
