Nice site near bathroom. one of the few sites with a direct view of one of the mountains. not a lot of shade during the day so it gets hot.

We saw a black bear cub about a mile southeast of our campground. Colter Bay is a good campground with nice gravel pads for a tent of all sizes. It is overpriced at $50 per night ($66 with tax). The restrooms in Yellowstone were newer, nicer, and cleaner at $44 per night with Xantera. Recreation.gov campgrounds in Yellowstone are only $25 per night. This is the way it has been for years. I still don't understand how Grand Teton can charge that much without improvements. It doesn't matter if you are in a sagebrush site at Gros Ventre. It is still $50 with poorer quality restrooms. You can get a sagebrush site at Mammoth in Yellowstone for $25.

The location is awesome. Also loved having a store, Marina, and a boat tour of Jackson Lake. Scheduling is a nightmare. My work doesnot allow for planning 6 months out. I think it's very unfortunate and not fair to not have first come first serve campsites, or at least have some available to reserve the week before. Also, The camp ground is in desperate need of some maintenance. Roads and potholes are bad, and trees over the road hitting the camper were abundant. I consider Teton National park to be one of the most beautiful parks in the country, I wish the park buildings in colter bay reflected that, instead of being cheaply constructed and poorly maintained. Despite that it is our favorite place to camp. We haven't been for 3 years because we have been unable to reserve a spot.

Loved this campground! The sites are all very private. The short walking paths are great for a fantastic view of Jackson Lake - we could have spent all day there. 10/0 definitely recommend this campground!! We will be back!

We loved Colter Bay. The scenery cant be beat. The store was nice when we forgot an item or two and the campground was clean. Only a couple of drawbacks. The reservations didnt open correctly so we had to switch spots twice, there were a lot of dogs left in trailers and barked a lot and the camping spots were crammed right next to one another. This wont keep us away next year but I hope we dont have to move around as much. Its so nice having Jackson Lake next door and Yellowstone just 45 minutes away. Thanks for a great experience.

The reservation system is flawed. It is most certainly a detriment to WY residents who chose to live here because of the access to our beautiful mountains.

It was great. The camp host was very helpful when I called with questions about the reservation and all staff encountered at the campground were very friendly!

This is my second time staying at Colter Bay and wont be my last. The layout of the camp is perfect! This is a great place to stay

This campsite is great! Just a few minutes walk from the lake, clean, spacious, has a bear box built in, everyone around us was super friendly and respected the campground rules, had a clean bathroom a short walk from the campsite. I would definitely stay here again.

The overzealous and overboard park service regulations of this campground made it hard to enjoy the experience or even the views. I was too busy hauling my stuff in and out of my car . Ive been doing bear aware camping for 50 years, storing food and toiletries in a bear box or car, but requiring everything including clean and unused dishes, water bottles to be in a car or box is insane. Seizing your camping gear when all food and scents are put away, felt like living in a dictorial state.

We were packed in like sardines. The neighbors let their kids run through our campsite. People were nice but it wasnt private at all. Neighbors fed the deer cool ranch Doritos.

Shady spot with excellent parking. The tent pad fits at least a 4-6 person tent. More room for another tent as well. Close to the clean bathrooms. Pretty quiet except for the occasional rude, loud camping family nearby. The RVs surrounding the area do take away from the quietness but oh well. Still recommend!

Site was amazing. Private behind us. The village store and lake were amazing. A very desirable place and we felt grateful to stay there.

We loved our time here. It was tranquil, the site was great. The bear box was larger than we anticipated and fit everything nicely. We stayed here for 3 nights, then moved to the RV park for 3 nights and were wishing it was the whole time at the campground because the site was so large and it was quieter. We have a great time exploring the Tetons!

They got us in for a night, we didn't understand which cmpground we were coming to and that there was an RV campground then another campground. There was no water on site and that was unclear. Its beautiful and maintained well and it was a nice place but a lot of $ for electric only. It got us through the night fine and again beautiful surroundings!

Well kept campground and bathrooms. Great friendly staff. Large site and still nice even with the 3g towers.

Tightly packed campground and expensive. Paid the extra as had showers in the description yet had to pay another $5 on top for this.

Not a ton of shade but not full sun. The tent pad fits at least a 4-6 person sized tent. More room for another 4 person tent as well. Super close to the clean bathrooms. We have been coming to Colter Bay for many years and have typically stayed in B, D or C Loops. We scheduled the M Loop this year and ended up in the area where generators are allowed. There was a large family group there with huge trailers and motor homes that ran their generators from 7 AM until after 10:PM. I checked with the hosts and they told us the generators were allowed from G Loop on. We didn't realize generators were allowed in the tent camping area. It became very annoying, especially where we were so close to that constant noise. We will probably still come to Colter Bay but we won't schedule in those areas allowing generators. I don't remember seeing any notices that was allowed in those areas. Other than that it was a great trip.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
