We have stayed at this particular campground MANY times. There have been no upgrades in the last 30 years to the bathroom facilities and yet, they still charge you more money to stay here than in the other major National parks. Never have we paid that much money nightly for a campsite with no extra amenities/hook-ups. Judt a regular site. Tree limbs need to be trimmed in the campsites for travel trailers to be able to fit without causing damage to their rigs. I think if you are going to charge that much money for overnight camping at least include the showers for your paid guests. Repair the old sinks and toilets in the campground. Upgrade your facilities for the cost. I honestly don not believe we will stay at Colter Bay again

The campsite itself was plenty big, which was great. The drawback for us, as truck campers was that we couldn't pull our vehicle into the site. You have to park along the front of the campsites, kinda like parking curbside, with campground traffic driving by. The firepit and table were set pretty far into the site, so it would've been great to pull our vehicle up closer, like we do at other campgrounds. The basic, no frills tent site we had was comparable to other parks sites that are half the price. We appreciated and utilized the market, coffee shop, and shower facilities (even at $5 each). The facilities in general (especially the bathrooms) are very dated and in need of upgrades. I'm guessing by the colors, style, and wear that the bathrooms were last updated on the early 90s.
