We loved our stay at Serrano campground! It was myself, my boyfriend, and our 2 dogs. First of all our spot had lots of space! I was worried the campground would be too quiet because we like some low country music and a good time but luckily there were kids running around, dogs having fun, and it didnt feel like a library. But it wasnt too much noise so it was great! From our spot we had about a 3-5 min walk to a perfect little spot on the water where we had it all to ourselves :) Super pedestrian friendly town with paths and trails everywhere. Our dogs just had to be on leashes because lots of coyotes at night. They give you a little map coming in with some info and also offer firewood. Amenities clean, lots of showers, bathrooms, dumpsters. Once again, very clean campground and very happy. I will definetly be booking this spot again, actually already looking at dates

the camp sites are very large with several spots to set up a tent or several, the picnic table is a good distance from fire pits. Just a lot of room to spread out. spots are all fairly close walk to bathrooms. Everyone was quiet between quiet hours too, so it was nice being able to get sleep. The only thing we did NOT like: the showers are really cold at first which isn't a surprise, but you have to hold the button down as the water only lasts maybe 5 seconds and the spray is far and wide, so you stand in freezing water waiting for it to warm up. Then when trying to rinse off you have to hold the button and try to rinse with one hand. I wish they lasted for at least a couple minutes so water can warm up and you also have 2 hands to rinse soap out of hair or off body. My son made a joke of how he didn't understand the term shrinkage before. LOL to give reference, he said he didn't know things could basically go backwards or up inside. So yes, very cold holding the button while waiting. ha ha

Great campground. Brought our trailer and enjoyed full hookups, paved parking spot, picnic table, and fire pit. Going in April worked out well as it wasn't too busy.

Campground was clean and quiet. Our site was spacious with a fire pit, picnic table and full hook-up. Close to the lake and hiking. Staff was friendly.

Great spot, close to the lake for fishing. Clean bathrooms and even has showers. Downside is the spots are pretty close together and the group we were next to were the worst. Up way past midnight playing music and partying for two nights in a row. People would also walk right through your camp spot. Even between our chairs next to our fire pit.

We always have a great and positive experience here at Serrano Campgrounds. This time we stayed at Site 13 and it was bliss. Checking in was smooth and the Front Staff and rangers were positive, cheerful, quick to assist and amazing. Site was well maintained and clean, just a walk down to the restroom facilities. Restrooms and showers were always clean and stocked during our 3-night stay. The grounds and lake were pretty quiet as well, not sure if it was also because it was the weekend of Coachella (which we did not know at the time). Heads up that traffic, getting there, doubled our drive time but still wasn't too bad (3 hours total). Our stay was as the beginning of April, there was still snow (or mostly ice) and weather was cool. The sun is still pretty strong so make sure to cover up, wear sunblock and/or a hat.

Ive been camping here for years and have never been when its completely empty. It was so peaceful. But thats not the real reason I gave 5 stars, it was the host and the woman at the front gate. They were so nice and actually greeted us with smiles. The bathroom and showers were very clean, as always and the property was well kept. It was a great trip!

Nice spacious site. Easy to back into with trailer.

Perfect setting in the trees with full hook-ups. Had to position my trailer just perfectly between two trees so the awning could open up, but I dialed it in and had a few inches on either side for clearance. Site was clean and relatively level side-to-side and front-to-back. Lots of birds flying around, even had a coyote walk through the site. Pretty peaceful, but since the road is up above the site, you do get some road traffic noise.

Beautiful campground! Close to lake and town, but you feel so secluded once inside. HUGE sites, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
@RachelD2123141 · Camped on Mar 28, 2025 at Campsite #23
We stayed at #23 which was by the restrooms. The restroom doors are heavy and tend to slam so if youre sensitive to sound, this may keep you up at night/early morning. People also would run/walk through our campsite to get to the restroom. The camp sites are large and spaced a good distance apart from each other. Bathrooms were extremely clean and firewood was available for purchase at the ranger station. We had great cell phone coverage (which I tend to not want while camping) and were 5 min away from the nearest grocery store. The birds were wonderful, I recommend bringing binoculars if you like to birdwatch.

Clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the forest. The snow was melting and the contrast of the snow, blue sky, sunshine and green trees as breathtaking. We walked along the lake and me some nice people. We highly recommend this. campground!

Thanks to all our Supporting Members

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
