Beautiful campground and convenient location. Site 30 was big enough for 3 tents and trees for our hammocks. The camp host was so nice and attentive.

Loved it BUT there was a family of coyotes at the top of my site (45). Luckily my 22lb dog was alright I didnt leave her out of my site but I definitely heard the coyote pups and saw two big adult coyotes.

Really quiet peaceful camp site, close access to local businesses and the lake! Were able to walk down to the lake from the siteBeautiful park and friendly camp hosts.Many clean bathrooms (no showers)

This campground is always great. A bit noisy/crowded but is an equivalent exchange for being adjacent to the mountain resort and Village. Village is walking distance along a wooded trail (Towne Trail) or by road. Good cell service and amenities. Camp hosts are friendly and sell firewood bundles they will bring to your campsite for $10 a bundle.

Beautiful campground at the base of summit. Well maintained. Lots of potable water spigots. Clean bathrooms with stalls and flushable toilets. Were going back to the same site next month!

We stayed at site #20. Close to restroom, but also a lot of evening noise from some unsupervised teenagers who seemed to go back and forth several times. Really close to the MTB park. Would LOVE a shower, but getting to Serrano to take one wasn't too difficult. Convenient to get to town and other activities.

Our stay at Pineknot Campground was excellent. The campsites were wonderful, the bathrooms were clean, and the location within Big Bear is perfect!

We love this campground! It felt very private because of the trees, you can hear birds in the morning and coyotes at night. The restrooms were acceptable, not too clean but still very usable and not nausea inducing haha. We can't wait to be back.

I purchased 2 campsites in pineknott campsites 04 and 05. I ended up using only 1 campsite. 04 a camper and son asked the host if there were any sites available they said no I offered my 2nd one up was told I can't do it. I kid you not 10 minutes later a different vehicle parked in my already paid for site and was validated by the camp hosts so they double booked a reserved campsite I paid for 6 months in advance I wasn't given a refund nor did I give permission to these new individuals to use my paid for camp site after I was told I can't do that by the camp host. I don't know how to say it other then theft by pineknott I will never return to pineknott campsites as I have a terrible taste in my mouth becuase of said incident I have posted it on posts on social media and online.

Very nice and clean campground. It was hot in June and my spot was in the full sun until mid afternoon. Host was nice and helpful. Only negative for me was its right next to town and condos. Would not pick this campground again just because of this but may be convenient for others.
@AdamaD141C4BAC · Camped on Jun 16, 2025 at Campsite #39
It was quiet in our location. There was enough shade and a breeze, so it was pleasant. There was a coyote that walked by adjacent to our campsite during the day with no problem. The camp host was nice and helpful.

Pineknot is shady, quiet, well organized, and clean. The host is responsive when checking you in and offers firewood for purchase. We car camped and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

very nice campground, loved the tall trees and overall quiet atmosphere. The hosts were very welcoming and nice. Bathrooms are clean. The site we had was sloped which was the only downside, will try another site next time.

Ariel, the new camp host is extremely welcoming, helpful, friendly, and keeps the campsite clean. I camped, the campground was quiet. Bathroom access is always easy. This campsite does not have established showers, so I bring my own. Overall, I always have a great experience with Pineknot campground in San Bernardino.
@DougC2292861 · Camped on May 30, 2025 at Campsite #6
Campground was clean and bathrooms were maintained. The only negative was having coyotes come into camp each day/night. A little unnerving with small children playing. Overall we had a good time there.

As always a great place to camp. Clean toilets and beautiful location.

Lovely place to camp. Tucked in right beside the ski resort. Nice clean restrooms with flushing toilets. The parking is tight so beware if your coming with a larger camper or RV. I camp with a 17' pop up and a Gmc sierra and we fit perfect in the spot. Only downside is the camp is close to town and there are a handful of campsites that face the backside of condos. Those campsites are located at the entrance of the camp ground. I'd still grab those sites in a pinch. Great little campground. Signed...one happy camper

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
