It is a nice campground with the campsites spread out. It needs a better sign to find the campground as you enter the parking lot for Snow Summit Ski Resort. There are a lot of things to do in the area including mountain bike riding, hiking, going out on the lake either to kayak or go for a cruise, take a ski lift up to the top of the mountain and check out the Village in Town.

Pineknot is shady, quiet, well organized, and clean. The host is responsive when checking you in and offers firewood for purchase. We car camped and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Always a great time. Tons of toads around late spring

The site was great the only detail i didnt like. The spot from car to your site is on an uphill. So its a hassle up load and upload your equipment on and off the vehicle. Also i wish you could call the actual site. Instead theres a customer service number that they rarely pick up the phone and the same person answers .

The campsites are nice and spacious, plenty of shade, running water, clean facilities, its quiet at night, and our camp host was so awesome! He put on a magic show AND gave our car a jump after my battery died while packing to go home. We cant wait to go back!

Nice campground! Our site (42) had three different places to set up a tent, a fire ring and a grill. The fire ring had a fixed grill over it, so plan on bringing something that can cook in the fire or your own grate. There's a trail that goes right into town. The first half was used by mountain bikers but the second half was just hikers.

Nicely spaced campsites. Nice big trees. Super close to town and Snow Summit. Clean bathrooms.

Great location close to stores and short drive to village, but feel like you are far away from it all. Fairly shady, large spots. Camp host was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean!

We choose site 42 for our pop up trailer. There was quite the slope from the trailer down to the fire pit/ tent landings/ picnic table. I couldnt have asked for a better campground and site overall though. There were multiple spots on our site for tents. We had a very level spot for our pop up and the space for the fire pits and table where so Nice and shaded or sunny when expected. We were so close to everything big bear And walked to summit for some summer fun. We have two young kids and they also loved it. The camp host Sean was absolutely wonderful! He was fun, quirky, helpful, kind, and did some magic ticks for the kids!

Very nice and well organized camping area.Location is absolutely excellent right next to snow summit, a few minutes drive from downtown Big Bear but yet in the middle of the woods. Beautiful area! Totally worth it! Kids loved it! We will come back!

This campground is very nice, lot 42 is spacious and relatively private. The proximity to the lake and the town are what made us choose this campground. What is great is that there is water faucets all around the campground, so you dont need to bring your own water. However, we were not 100% happy with our stay. Firstly, there are not enough toilets for all the people there (in every lot there were large groups of like 8 people staying). The toilets were also not very clean. Also, everybody except us seemed to have 1-2 dogs with them, and they kept barking all day and all night. If you are looking for a private, quiet getaway this is not the right campground for you (at least not on weekends).

The campsite was really nice. It had a little gully that might have posed problems in the rain. No showers. But there are faucets.
