The park is very nice over all. I do feel that in the sweet gum loop, the campground host spot is an eyesore. But the lake is great and plenty of shade. We enjoyed our stay.

Cagle could be a very nice park. I have always stayed in Sycamore loop. This is my first stay in SWGU loop. I guess the park host in this loop is a permanent residence. I have never seen this done? The Park Host site looks like a junk yard full of clutter. I had a shoe hanging from a tree above my patio. Someone in the site before me had left a frisbee and a razor scooter. I spent my first twenty minutes picking up food trash and cans at the site. Im glad I didnt have to use the restrooms.

very well kept. Nice trails for walking. Not wheelchair friendly trails, but able to use it on the roads. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

The host Lee was kind and knowledgable. Campsite was clean and level. Campground was well kept. Been there many times and will go again.

I love this park. It is so beautiful and the hosts are so helpful. Paths are older but usable. Bathhouse could use some updating. Cell signal was nearly non existent for t-mobile even with their Internet box.

Unfortunately it rained almost the entire time. The park is beautiful, several paths to walk, the recent control burning, still a lot of smoldering logs, was a little unnerving. Suggest an open site if you want starlink to work, spot 37 was full shade, very nice spot, no internet and no cell service on Mint Mobile/TMobile. Spot 36 has some shade and a clear southern sky for starlink.

The forest ground burning should have been communicated. We would have made another plan.

Great park on Lake Conroe. Love park but we had to leave day early due to smoke from prescribed burn by Forest Service.

Very nice campground. We'll visit again. We had a great space next to the water and hiking trail. The controlled burn in the adjacent area was a surprise. Lots of smoke but we never felt endangered. Our only point of frustration was the periodic interruption by another camper - friendly guy who I'm certain meant well, but he was insistent on accessing his boat via the cut through at the back of our reserved space. We had to settle our dogs down each time as they naturally reacted as he and a friend would pass within a few feet of where they were tethered directly outside of our camper. (Additional access points were available a short way down on either side of us.)

We've stayed at Cagle many times and always enjoyed it. The campground is great with beautiful views on Lake Conroe. The campground host Jesse is fantastic -- a warm and friendly presence. We've become a bit disenchanted with site 32. It's probably the best site in the campground with a great view of the lake, easy access to the lakeside hiking trail, and plenty of space. We've regularly booked it exactly 6 months in advance to get it. Unfortunately, everyone else seems to love the site as well and walks right through it while we're there. On multiple occasions we've settled into a hammock for a nice nap and been woken by people tromping right by our heads speaking loudly. We've tried calm and polite discussions of "Please don't walk through someone else's campsite," but it gets exhausting. We will probably start staying at a different site.

We had a wonderful time at our Ladies Day camping fellowship at Cagle Recreational Area, New Waverly, Texas! It was such a blessing to spend time together praying, talking, playing games, sharing lunch, and enjoying stories and songs. The weather was perfect, and the beautiful lake Conroe views made it even more special. We were at RV Site 31which was well-equipped with full hookups, a fire pit, tent pad, and a metal table with benches. It was conveniently located near the restrooms, showers, walking trails, and just a short walk to the boat rampmaking our stay both comfortable and memorable. We had to level up the RV on the driver's side. This was our second camping visit, and we hope to do it again.

Beautiful area. Park was peaceful and quiet

The bathrooms are still disgusting in the first loop. I like that its reasonably close to Huntsville and Conroe, but that is the highlight of the park.Bathrooms are not cleaned on a regular basis. The sites however are nice and deep.

The bathrooms were clean and the shower hot (a little too hot for me). The sites were spaced out well for privacy and feeling of having space.

Nice campground with some trails. Even when full, it was quiet. Camp sites are not isolated.

This campground was excellent, We really enjoyed our stay. However, I would like to let you know that the information on your reservation website is incorrect. When booking the site, I was informed that only 19 sites in Cagle are full hookup. However, I discovered while there that all the sites are full hookup. This was corroborated with the host in my area. Please correct this information. Though our site was great, I would have chosen another site closer to the lake, if I had known this fact. thank you.

This was a great little jewel of a campsite I had no idea was here. Quiet and peaceful bathrooms could use a little bit of updating but then again most people have an RV.

Very nice and friendly park. Hosts were very helpful. Shower area in Ladies could use a bit of repair as my wife noted the showerhead was missing. Possibly will go back in the future.

I stayed in site #9 which is a good spot with lots of space, however there are two small access trails to the main trail that go right through that site. The problem is where in a normal campground common courtesy dictates not cutting through someones campsite those courtesies do not seem to exist here. Large groups of screaming kids were cutting through my campsite all during the day and into the night. I also talked to another camper that told me this was their favorite site except for the traffic through it. Those trails need to be moved further away from that site to better enhance the safety and experience of all who enjoy this recreation area.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
