We enjoyed the Thanksgiving week in the campground with family over the holidays. The park host were very friendly and made the rounds to make sure everything was good. Enjoyed this quiet park with plans to return.

The grounds keepers have historically been fine except for a man named Lee. Seemingly on some sort of power trip. Continually pestered our site for unknown reasons.

Im an avid outdoorswoman and camp often, so I expected some weekend noise. However, I was extremely disappointed that some campers created constant, unnecessary noise by repeatedly opening and closing car doors and locking and unlocking their vehicles until 2 AM. We packed up early Sunday morning and left. Not sure well be back.. at least in a tent!

We love most of the sites at Cagle. They are well spaced, mostly level and if not deep enough for large rigs, there is additional parking. New Waverly isnt far for basic shopping, but Willis will have everything you need.The bathroom however in the first loop leaves a lot to be desired. We were there 6 days. It was never cleaned, garbage piled up and the toilets were nasty. But toilet paper did get replaced. We heard there was a burn ban but the host said he didnt feel like putting up the signs.

My family and I have stayed at Cagle on 5 different occasions and we absolutely love the place. Clean, quiet, on the water and only 60 miles from home. Makes for a nice weekend with nature and good people. We will be returning.

The park is very well maintained. The bathrooms were clean. Lee the park host was very friendly and helpful.

Spacious sites in the woods. Lots of trees overhead and our spot was level. Overpriced compared to much nicer state parks we have stayed at. Not much of a senior discount.

Site 036. The hosts were very friendly. We camped with a tent, while everyone around us had RVs. There was no soap in the restrooms. We enjoyed our time there. The lake and the trails around it were really beautiful. There was a sand beach very close, but we did not swim because it was cold and rainy.

Friendly park hosts and nice full hookup sites.

Great park. The hosts are great. We did lose power for about 12 hours because of a pretty bad storm, but it was back up relatively quickly. My kids enjoyed wandering around theres a relatively short trail and its easy to walk from one campground to the next.

I arrived on Saturday so the campground was very crowded. The site I had reserved was nice however and my stay was enjoyable

Everything was wonderful! Nice and clean, friendly people, and the camp host, Lee, was the nicest. Will definitely be back!

I have been trying to reserve a spot for a long time. I finally got one and I enjoyed our stay.

Clean and quiet

Stayed in site #16 so we wouldn't have to look at the host's junkyard of a site. FHUs. Decent water pressure. Clean 50amp power, reasonably level site. Be aware that there are very few OTA TV stations available and there is virtually no cell service.
@DanielB4603573 · Camped on Oct 3, 2025 at Campsite #19
Cagle is my favorite spot to camp in Texas. We have been there several times. There was an unauthorized person in our camp site when we arrived so we had to ask them to leave but other than that it was great. There is no cell service here so be prepared for that.
@AnthonyPC77213 · Camped on Oct 3, 2025 at Campsite #2
Nice campground didn't have any problems , except for the cell service no Internet function at all
@DonnaL8792277 · Camped on Oct 1, 2025 at Campsite #25
Love this campground. Nice large campsites with a place to park the boat. Full hookups, too! Park host Jesse is helpful and friendly.

This is a very quiet and well managed campground. The sites are level and are not too close to each other.
@Katherine46786 · Camped on Sep 27, 2025 at Campsite #7
Great campsite, clean bathrooms, nice hiking trails near by. Appreciate can go for just one night too and not required to book two nights like the state parks.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
