Cagle is my favorite spot to camp in Texas. We have been there several times. There was an unauthorized person in our camp site when we arrived so we had to ask them to leave but other than that it was great. There is no cell service here so be prepared for that.

We have spent several week long vacations at this campground and we love it. It is quiet and friendly, as well as having a launch spot for boats or kayaks. There are also quite a few spots to fish from shore. We take our kayaks and enjoy the natural beauty of Lake Conroe surrounded by Sam Houston National Forest. We will continue to return to this area.

Very pleased with camp grounds. Clean, quiet, and well kept. Wish there was better cell phone reception. Not fault of camp ground!

We there for 4 days and the shower in the womens restroom ran constantly for 2 days of them until we brought it to the hosts attention. The womens bathroom was not cleaned one time and ran out of toilet paper whereas we had to go ask for more. We stayed at site 19. This loop is commonly reffered to as the Ghetto. I can see why! the other loop is where we usually stay but could not get in. Clean, nice host great atmosphere. The ghetto is run by an old couple that has been there for years freeloading off the campgrounds. There host site looks like a second hand trailer park site. I think you can do better. The other park host in that loop died of a heart attack that weekend. It was a rough weekend.

A great peaceful getaway. Love this place. Beautiful forest. My only complaint is shady cell phone service.

We go there every spring break because the weather is usually pretty warm, but not this year. We particularly like the sweet gum section as the sites are much larger. No view of the lake but thats ok as it right around the bend and has an excellent boat launch. Tall pine trees all around and they also act as a wind break.

We spent the weekend at Cagel in January. The park was well kept, clean and very relaxing. The host Mr. Bob was extremely kind and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back and would encourage others to visit as well!

We arrived at Cagle RV Park Dec 9th-23 to be close to Houston for our grandson’s birth. We really enjoyed out stay here fishing and walking the trails. We even saw the two Eagles nest and got to visit the Sam Houston Statue. We found everything we needed locally in New Waverley and Willis. And, there were plenty shopping near by in Huntsville and Conroe. We will definitely come again…👍🏽

I alway enjoy my stay here. The sites are all very level and clean. There is hardly any road noise so it is very quiet. We love it!
