This is a great COE park, large full hook up sites with plenty of room to walk/hike and boat. Only negatives are that some of the sites are not level and need the pads to be redone and the monstrous pine trees make TV/Satellite reception difficult. If you need to run to town, Willis is only 10 minutes away with HEB, Krogers, pharmacies and anything else youd need.

Site 036. The hosts were very friendly. We camped with a tent, while everyone around us had RVs. There was no soap in the restrooms. We enjoyed our time there. The lake and the trails around it were really beautiful. There was a sand beach very close, but we did not swim because it was cold and rainy.

Park is small and quiet. Sites and bathroom are well maintained. Hosts are friendly.

Camp site had plenty of space. Facilities close by (were always clean and well stocked with TP). Fishing close by. My only complaint is the boat ramp. People were revving their boats to load up until midnight. I swear an air boat was right outside my tent at one point. Team no sleep. Did not care about no Verizon coverage because nature. Maps provided at check in could use an update with an estimate of how far the trails are.

My family stayed here on our first camping trip with our new to us pop up camper. Site was level, didn't require leveling and location was prime. Very close walking distance to the clean restrooms. Camp hosts Jesse and Lee were top notch, won't hesitate to stay there again! Thank u for the memories!

We had a Wonderful stay, Everything was fantastic except for the Restroom closest to the Lake. It Reeked of Urine and the floor was Gritty. It appeared it hadn't been Swept or mopped for a long time!

It's a beautiful park. Great for walking. Park host Linda was very friendly & welcoming. We stayed at site #36 which was great but just know that in the description on the website it says full shade. The afternoon/evening sun shines right on the pad. We will definitely make a return visit.

We loved our winter stay at Cagle rec area! Site 36 was great. The views were beautiful and the hikes were great. Geocache by the front gate as well.

Really beautiful campgrounds, tall shady trees, mostly level sites, and very spacious. Great campground hosts. Nice trails and boat launch area. Extremely quiet. Bathrooms closest to boat launch really could use upgrade and more frequent cleaning. Not sure about other two.

We had a great weekend. The campground is nice and everything is well maintained. The camp hosts are very helpful. We enjoyed fishing and walking on the trails. This is our second time to camp at Cagle and we do plan on returning.

We stayed on the Sycamore loop, site 36, January 7th to January 11th. We found the campground very well maintained. The camp hosts were the best. My wife and I hiked the trails, enjoyed the local flora and met with some great folks who are regular visitors. Someday we will be back in the Houston area. I know where we will stay.

It was beautiful and the lake was nice! The campsite came with everything needed for us without having to use an RV converter plug. So perfect for tent and RV camping!

This is a wonderful park. There are 47 spots in all. We stayed in spot #36. Even though every spot was filled, it did not feel crowded. People were friendly. Bathroom was clean. Grounds were clean. Every spot has electric (50 or 30 amp), water and sewer, picnic table. Paved level parking. The spots are very spacious. Fishing is great. The boat ramp is busy all day. Plenty of spots for bank fishing as well. We will definitely be going back. The man and his wife working there were extremely friendly. I wish I had their names.

We have camped in 8 different locations this winter, throughout Florida and Texas. Cagle was, hands down, our favorite spot! We love the large sites. We love being able to sit next to our camper and see the lake. And, we LOVED the quiet! It was exactly what we needed after fleeing the freezing weather after the big storm of February 2021.

Area was clean and well maintained. Great location. We spent time on both loops and the hosts were outstanding. Would have liked to have stayed longer and cant wait to go back.

This was my first experience towing a travel trailer and I must say that the campground RV pads are set at the perfect angle for easy entry and are quite flat and level. Cagle is near Houston and made a perfect initial experience for "Class A' camping in a towable. The local staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The weather and the fishing was not very good on this trip but the camping experience was awesome!
