We were on site 20 great site I know the lack of water is an issue, but we did have a breeze coming across the lake. Very quiet campground everyone is friendly, and rangers drive through checking on all campers.This is one of our favorite campgrounds for a quick weekend getaway or a longer stay. Close to Hernando town square and they always seem to have events around the square. Shopping and Restaurants nearby.

We always have a great time when we camp at Hernando Point. The sites are not on top of each other. Some are spaced out. There are a few that are close. The only thing that I wish they had was air-conditioned in the bath house.

The campsites are awesome and the staff is friendly. However I am concerned about what we were told is about to happen. While we were there some volunteers came by and placed a metal picnic table on our site. We had selected the site because it had a concrete pad that allowed us to set up our pop up clamshell dining fly without being in the grass (which was high because of the rain) and thus less bug infested. However the volunteers said the table was going to be bolted down right in the middle of th pad, which will make it unusable for our shelter. Will be disappointing if we cant use our shelter anymore

Very nice campgrounds. Clean restrooms and air conditioned. We were on site 27 which is a designated handicapp site. Nice pad and very level.

Site 38: shade most the day. Large pad. Easy hookups. Beautiful large park with sites widely spaced from other sites. Didn't use bathroom so no review for those, although one looked brand new. Took about 20 minutes to get to the main highway. As announced, the lake bed is dry. Very quiet!

Nice, peaceful two weeks spent at Hernando Point on site 22. We were impressed with the upgrades to the playground and the small lake as you come into the campground. The new camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. Even though there is no lake at the moment, it is still a very pretty view and the eagles with their youngsters made it a lot of fun to eagle watch. They were mowing the campground when we arrived and mowing again when we left. I'm so glad Hernando Point is being kept up and looked after better. Way to go, Corps and Rangers!

Very nice campground. Large lots and quite and lots of places to walk the dog. Look forward to returning when the lake levels are back to normal.

We had a great site (6) with a terrific view of the lake. Unfortunately, the lake water level was down for repairs to the dam. We had the added experience of being right under a bald eagles nest. We came and went with no interaction with any ACoE personnel or camp host. It was an unexpected surprise to have full hookups.

Flat spot for a tent for those of us that dont have a camper. Only downside was no fire ring but it was warm enough out to not need it. Beautiful spot right by the water and a good clearing above in the trees for Star gazing. Will come back!

The sewage connection did not fit well. The threads were stripped. Everything else was awesome!

This is actually a nice campground. The sites are level and far enough apart to provide good elbow room. However, the water situation is very poor. The pump that supplies water to the campsites failed and we were left without any water. To include no water in the restrooms and showers. In talking to some long term campers we were told it is a common occurrence to have the pump fail and to have no water for a day or two. They compensate by holding water in their freshwater tanks. Word to the wise if you plan on camping here.

Nice campground. The bathrooms were clean but could use an upgrade.

Nice Campground. Pretty empty while we were there. Camp host was friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and renovated. We had a site across from the lake and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. We were able to gather some wood behind our site for a nice campfire.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
