Lights at bathroom were on timer and dark for most of night. Came on sometime in middle of night. Lake was drained and no water. Not well maintained site or facilities.

Everything went very smooth and the site was just right. My husband did fall due to the high edge of the pad compared to the ground level. He hit a elbow on the pad and I took care of it with our first aid kit. Maybe you could make the two levels equal especially where the picnic table is. Other than that everything went very well and it fit our needs for this trip very well. We will be back in May for graduation of granddaughter. Thank you

Beautiful campgrounds but the Lake is MISSING Last year the lake was drained down and the dam needs repair so beautiful lake is dried up

Lake is no longer there, there is a thin river in its place. Because of this there is no access to what used to be the beach or lakefront. Very quiet. Bathroom clean but dated. No check in, just drive to the site. Most sites are full hook up.

It was a nice campground. We were right on the bank on whats supposed to have been a lake. It was dried up so no fishing and no water. No one works at park so you cant get in touch with anyone at all. No one to call. It just goes to answering machine that tells you to call 911. Could not call to tell them that the 6 dogs at this guy had was barking from daylight to dark every day. I mean all 4 day we were there. People just pulled in and set up all times of the day and left when ever you wanted to. It was like show up when ever you want.

Sehr schöner Campingplatz, direkt am Wasser war ich mit einem C25 von Cruise America. Strom, Wasser und Dumping am Platz möglich. Toiletten und Duschen waren nicht so gut.

We've stayed twice. The 1st time it was an incredible experience. Everyone was friendly, the park looked gorgeous even though the water was very high due to recent rains. We returned a little more than 2 weeks later (6/24) and the grass has obviously not been mowed since before 6/8. The grass and weeds throughout the park is over a foot tall and visitors are bringing their personal mowers to mow their sites to make them usable. This is unacceptable for ANY campground and potentially unsafe due to incursions of insects, snakes and other wildlife.

Public use area has been abandoned and is in need of renovation. Campground was acceptable. Tired old park ready for some kind of face-lift. Over all "good" but with a little funding, could be GREAT.

Great campground, we stayed right on the water. Bathrooms were clean. No check-in, just go to your site and park. Never saw anyone patrol the park but could have easily missed them.Park & site were clean.

Stayed for an overnight on way to coast. Nice size areas and clean bathrooms. Had everything we needed.

Site 19 provides a great view if the lake level is normal. It was really low during our visit so mostly rocks and mud.50 amp service was not working when we arrived, and quickly realized there was no identified camp host on site to assist. Called the COE office and left messages but no response. So, if you have problems on the weekend you are out of luck. We had to struggle with 30 amp conversion on our coach for the weekend.Although sewer had recently been added to many sites, ours was located so far back of the site I had to add a second hose in order to reach. Made dumping much more difficult. I noticed many sites had the recently installed sewer inlets much too far back in the site. Really sad that a knowledgeable oversight of the sewer project could have prevented this mistake.The worse problem we encountered was the potholes in the roads. In a large motorhome it was impossible to avoid and could really do some damage to a vehicle.Considering all, we would probably not return to Hernando Point.

19 is easy to back into, just long enough for a 35' fifth wheel and a dually The sewer connection is in the back so you'll need alot of hose There's a steep drop off/grade down to the picnic table area and hardly a flat spot for lawn chairs. Good view of the lake and southern sky, tv reception and cell service with C-spire isn't good
