We stayed in Site 8, and the view over the river was beautiful! It would be even better if there was some water in the lake. This site is very nice, just have to be careful of the drop-off from the driveway to the remainder of the area. My wife actually fell down the slope, so be careful if you stay here. Other than that, this is very nice campground. Always clean and well kept.

Stayed one night while driving through the area and looking for something close to I 55. It was a really nice place. Stayed on site 8 and it was a great location for easy in and out.

There were lots of off road vehicles and shooting range noise this time, even after dark. We have stayed here a few times, but this is the first time we have noticed the sound. Campsite was clean, bathhouse was always stocked. Beautiful views of the drained lake and eagle nest.

Disappointed when we arrived to discover that the lake which features so prominently is empty. might have looked for another site had we been informed about that condition. Otherwise found the campground clean and well kept.

Beautiful sunset over the lake. Very pleased with our two night stay. Campsite 08 was great.

Lovely campground- roomy sites. Weather was rainy but we made the best of it. We will be back

SIte 8 - Back-in site with back end closest to lake. If you have an RV with no rear windows may want to choose a site where RV site more parallel to lake. Water activities were closed for season as we stayed New Year's Eve, but area was absolutely beautiful & pristine with great concrete pads. Site was very quiet with an eagle's nest in the top of a pine tree near out site. Must bring in wood for campfire, recommend bringing it with you, as nearest place to possibly find any might be Hernando which is about 10mi away.

It was an enjoyable two nights stay. My RV site was clean and fairly level. However, I did not see a Ranger present during my visit to report a potential hazard. Please have the maintenance workers remove some broken limbs that were still lodged in the tree above my site. They could seriously hurt someone or damage an RV. Please address this hazard quickly.I stayed the weekend of December 2nd 2022 in a 36 motorhome in site #8 and will return again.

We were in Lot 8 for 9 days. It was a perfect back in for beginners. Straight shot, but you have to stay on the pad because of hills. It was the perfect view from the back of the trailer and sitting in chairs. We were in lot 14 for 5 days. It was a simple back in not quite as easy as 8. It was an handicap site so the table & grill was easy to access.

Site 8 is an easy back in with good over the air tv reception and unobstructed view of southern sky and lake There is a big slope on the door side of the camper down to the picnic table so be carefull

Lake is beautiful , facilities are great, we stay here a lot. I will bring my weed eater next time. Could use a bit of maintenance. We still live the place.
