We stayed here for a week and loved it! The site was perfect right next to the lake. Even though there isn't really much of a lake as such we saw some wildlife and the sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. It was very quiet and even though we didn't actually speak to any of the staff they were out and about driving around regulary making sure everything was good which was re assuring we found it very friendly (chatted to other campers) love the way you can pick your spot on the website! Highly recommend this park.

We were only there two nights. Our campsite was nice as we expected. Big disappointment was there was no lake. Pictures and descriptions still speak as if there is a lake. There is a blue link that says important information but it does not work. I guess we should have called. We still enjoyed our time there, drove into Memphis and explored. I understand that it will be 7-9 years before they can repair dam and start refilling the lake.

Dog feces and beer bottle caps on our site 18 when we arrived had a negative influence on our appreciation for this place. Campground has good potential, but needs attention to detail by staff. And needs staff, too, as none appeared to be present during our stay, although the bath houses were clean.

Nice campground and pretty easy to get to. This is pretty much a "self-service" campground. There is no office to register at, no Park Ranger on duty. We didn't really see camp hosts much, if at all. You have to find your site yourself and signage is minimal/non-existent.Overall though, nice park (although the water is very low). It rained the entire time we were there. Our site was ok as we were slightly "up hill" but other sites were under water. Lots of trees so and our Starlink had a lot of obstructions. Great for a short stay.

Great private campground with big individual sites and beautiful views of the lake.

I love the upgrades that have been done to Hernando Point Campground. We stayed in site 18 which has a nice water view, plenty of room at the back of the camper where the picnic table and grill are located. Each site has a light on at the hook-up area that's great for those late arrivals. Restrooms were nice. You can't reach the water from this camp site but, there is a boat ramp as your enter the park with plenty of parking, a day use area with plenty of picnic tables and a beach area (looks like they were working on it).

Nice campground for camping only. Supposedly has hiking trails but the are not maintained or marked after you get 100 feet off the road.

We really enjoyed our trip at Hernando Point so much we switched sites to extend our stay. Would be a 5-star review, only drawbacks were lake was very low which revealed a lot of trash on shoreline. Sunset views were beautiful regardless though. We're also an active family and walk/bike area is limited to campground area.

If you are looking for a very quiet campground, this is it. It has nice lake views. We stayed in site #18 and it had a nice lake view and was very quiet. The concrete pad was very level and it was walking distance to the shower house. Check in time is kind of late being 4:00pm. Cell phone coverage for T-Mobile was good (5G - 5 bars).

Great campground only negative is grass needed cutting and bathrooms needed cleaning and no toilet paper!

Loved the campground...Our site #18 was huge & had a great view of the lake...You can tell they have been working hard to renovate the grounds and it's still a little muddy from all the dirt work & construction...But nothing we couldn't work around...

They’re still under construction at this campground. Dump trucks drove by every ten minutes, our water was not working for a couple of hours because they had to cut it off to work on something. Also, men working on a fence ON OUR CAMPSITE while we were there. Wait six months and then try this campground IMO.
