We made it on the last day of cabin camp open. It was really awesome experience. Our first cabin camp experience and the facility was dustless. Everything was beyond our expectations. Propane heater was on and off automatically. We experienced the first winter storm in such a cozy cabin in the Lassen National park. Even during the federal shutdown period, the site was well maintained with nice clean bathrooms and 24hours showrooms.

Due to snow/dangerous driving conditions forecast on the days I was scheduled to be there, I was not able to stay in the park as planned. It was too dangerous. I called Rec/Gov and explained the situation. I understood at that point I could not cancel, so I requested another reservation for the Spring. I was told that reservation dates had not been released for next year and I could not reschedule, so I lost two days of payments totally over $200. No credit for a future stay was offered.If Rec/Gov cannot schedule certain future dates, they should at least issue credit for a future stay. Despite what I consider to be a shortfall on the Rec/Gov system, I look forward to my next trip to Lassen.

Sweet cabins and cosy even though our propane heater ran out in the middle of the night. Situated by a beautiful lake and at the end of the season, and during the shut down, so not sure if it is always so quiet there. Shocking to see how much of the park was burned by the fires in the past few years but still beautiful. Want to go back and see how things change!

We enjoyed our stay at Manzanitas Lake campground. The location to the lake was very convenient for the Manzanitas Lake Trail. The heater inside the cabin was very nice to have during the cold nights. Bathrooms and the campstore were both conveniently located. We did arrive towards the end of the season, so many items were sold out in the campstore. Additionally, I recommend that anyone staying here, bring extra padding for the mattress as it is very hard.

Second time to this campground with my 6th grade students (Geology!). It's lovely, but this time around our cabin heat didn't work, blinds couldn't be lowered for privacy and the men's shower room was closed. Knocked on the host's door a couple times but there was no answer.Would come back but with lowered expectations. The folks working in the store were pleasant and helpful.

Cabin was good, heater worked and we had space in the 2 room cabin, online mentioned that a lantern was included but we didnt have one, we brought our owns then no problem. The cabin had a smell of strong cleaning products that we didnt like

Our cabin was in a great location. We loved being next to the lake. The cabin was comfortable and we liked the porch. The instructions about what was available and what to bring were very helpful.

Lassen NP is huge. We spent several days exploring but also spent time at Lake Manzanita. The cabins are close to the lake with the furthest still only a few minutes walk away. The lake is beautiful and allows swimming, fishing (with restrictions), and kayaking. Our family rented a kayak onsite which was fun. There were also paddle boards available.The host for the campsite are very accommodating so be sure to mention if there are any issues. For example the heater in our cabin was broken but they let us borrow a Buddy heater. The bathroom had issues for repair and the gas station was out of service when we tried to use it but otherwise the area seemed well maintained.The bear box was large enough to fit our cooler and other bags. And each campfire ring is huge. We had a great time!

Week prior was able to grab this 1-night spot. Made everything easy to get away and explore the stunning Lassen Volcano area- there was a queen size bed frame with not uncomfortable mattress, side tables w dim-ish plastic lanterns, rugs, close-able windows, and a handmade ice chest. The large canvas tent was on a ADA compliant deck. Pit toilets near by and flushable toilets (and sinks) a bit further but easily reachable. Store opened at 8 and had a little kitchen, some grocery foods, and souvenirs. Everyone was lovely. No electricity or plumbing in tent (obviously). There were two lovely wood lounge chairs and a metal fire pit. I will post some pictures of the tent if I can and will post on yelp too if I cant post pics here. -1 star only because should actually be cheaper than cabins, not more

Cabins are very clean, functional and can sleep up to 7 in the bunks! There is no power and no water so bring a battery to recharge things. The cabins are definitely preferable to driving outside of the park each day and are close to the store and showers. The camp store has an excellent snack bar and friendly staff.

We had a great time. My only complaint is the description says a lantern is included. No lantern is included. So make sure you bring one from home. I love that the store has a barista. We were able to eat breakfast at the cabin, then grab a coffee and hit the trails.

The cabins were a lot nicer than I expected. The bathrooms always were clean as well and the personal I interacted with were helpful and pleasant.

Lassen NP was great - 5 stars for the park! The cabins at Manzanita lake however are not so great. We arrived around 7pm the first night and on entering were almost knocked over by the strong smell of cleaning products. Then we noticed that the main bed in the first room was literally wet with small pools of cleaning product all over it. We had to open windows to air out the cabin and get paper towels from the restroom to remove the excess cleaning solution. By then it was dusk and starting to cool down so we thought about turning on the heater, which is when we discovered that the built in wall heater was not working. In place of the heater there was a portable propane heater. We lit the propane heater and let it run for about 2 hours to take the chill off, but did not feel safe sleeping with it and having the fumes build up inside the cabin so we turned it off. The second night the heater wouldn't light at all - the fuel bottle was empty but we couldn't find the camp host to get a refill. The last issue with the cabin was that the window blind on the front door was in such bad shape that it was literally just a few panels hanging on the cords - virtually no coverage on the window. If we were to visit again we would pitch a tent in one of the other campgrounds instead. We made the best of it, but the cabin was not a pleasant place to stay.

Cozy cabin with heat (but no electricity even though I could see the old wiring there).Good for family or a small group to relax and stay when it's raining out there.

Cabin number 13 was nice and clean upon arrival. Instructions on lock box containing the cabin key made for easy access with the emailed code number. Fire pit, picnic table, and bear secure food locker close by. Easy walk to the lake shore from the cabin. Nice walking trail around Manzanita Lake. My stay was enjoyable. Things to improve. Blinds on all windows were in need of replacement. The door window had no blinds at all.

We have been staying at this same cabin for many years. You cannot beat the area and the security and warmth of a cabin. Unless the heater is broken, then, it is a different story! A portable one was provided but it was kind of scary to use. Our phone company is Consumer Cellular. We had service at the turnout in the Chaos Jumbles turnout inside of the park so we would go there. During a thunderstorm, I did receive a flash-flood alert on my phone at the cabin site so that was good to know that alerts work there.

The location is fabulous right in the middle of everything and the lake is spectacular, especially at sunset. The cabins are super clean and warm with heaters inside. The beds are comfortable. I would definitely go back and stay there.

NO HEAT IN CABIN 15 OR MANY OTHER CABINS. NO HELP ON SITE. Paid $300 to hike Mt. Lassen and sleep like a monk on a thick gym mat over a wood bed in a cabin at a high altitude that hit 37 at night. Camping store clerk said they do not service the cabins and I would have to talk to recreation.gov about it. Except, there's no service. The campground is beautiful and well kept but it is just too cold at night with no heat! We flew in and only packed sleeping bags because our reservation specified a cabin WITH propane heating. It was so cold! We stayed three nights and had NO heating available for any of them and many of our neighbors were in the same pickle. I've been far warmer and more comfortable in my tent on snow than this cabin with falsely advertised heat was.

I have stayed at lots of campgrounds and cabins. This cabin was really well maintained and the grounds were beautiful. Very close to Manzanita Lake for sunsets and photography. Every cabin has its own bear box and the bathrooms are close by. Showers were better than most campgrounds - hot water and good pressure. Camp store had delicious coffee.

Perfect little cabins.

Bare bones, but clean and functional cabins, nestled right next to the lake. The facilities were all very clean even during the long weekend. No electricity was a new experience for our family - but enjoyed basking in the moonlight. Would highly recommend for anyone not ready for tent camping but want to experience the camping in the wild

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
