Due to snow/dangerous driving conditions forecast on the days I was scheduled to be there, I was not able to stay in the park as planned. It was too dangerous. I called Rec/Gov and explained the situation. I understood at that point I could not cancel, so I requested another reservation for the Spring. I was told that reservation dates had not been released for next year and I could not reschedule, so I lost two days of payments totally over $200. No credit for a future stay was offered. If Rec/Gov cannot schedule certain future dates, they should at least issue credit for a future stay. Despite what I consider to be a shortfall on the Rec/Gov system, I look forward to my next trip to Lassen.

We had a great time. My only complaint is the description says a lantern is included. No lantern is included. So make sure you bring one from home. I love that the store has a barista. We were able to eat breakfast at the cabin, then grab a coffee and hit the trails.

Cabin number 13 was nice and clean upon arrival. Instructions on lock box containing the cabin key made for easy access with the emailed code number. Fire pit, picnic table, and bear secure food locker close by. Easy walk to the lake shore from the cabin. Nice walking trail around Manzanita Lake. My stay was enjoyable. Things to improve. Blinds on all windows were in need of replacement. The door window had no blinds at all.

First time staying in the cabins instead of a tent campground and loved it. Good proximity to lake and saved us during an unexpected storm.

My family and I enjoyed our camping at manzanita lake. Hope we will be back in few years.

Stayed in the Manzanita Lake Camping cabins. The cabins were clean, but had broken blinds (been that way over the last 3 years Ive visited). The restrooms and showers at the camping store were filthy and in disrepair.

Cabin 13 is spacious and clean and close to the pit toilets. The surrounding areas are spacious but you cant see the lake well, as there is a group of young pine trees in between. Wildlife is mostly squirrels with some deer around the lake. Our neighbors wer loud and left their trash out and the squirrels got into it:-( Lake Manzanita is super beautiful, so keep it wild.

Cabins were big and spaced out. Perfect location close to beach.

These cabins impressed my 6th grade students! We were warm and cozy while the drinking water outside froze.

This was such an amazing experience. The cabins were just inside the park (Google maps is deceiving, you have to enter the park to reach the cabins)! Everything was clean (the cabin, bathrooms, grounds) and the scenery was beautiful! Highly recommend.

The bathroom at the market had no water supply for the sinks. The showers need to be clean at least once a day. There was copious amounts of human hair in the drains; used bandaids and sanitary pads on the stall floors. A couple of the vault bathrooms were out of order and the big metal trash container lid was sprung and wouldn't close. One of the young men who clean the cabins was very nice and helpful and when he knew our family was arriving sooner than 3:00 pm, he took the initiative to get the cabin cleaned first.

The cabins are clean, cute, and close to the lake. I liked that they do not have electricity, there was little noise pollution and light pollution as a result. For a family-friendly lakeside camp, it felt fairly quiet and uncrowded, even at the peak of the summer season. Great experience! One thing to keep in mind: the "amenities" section of recreation.gov says the cabin comes equipped with a lantern. There was no lantern in my cabin so be prepared and bring your own!

Great rustic cabins overlooking nature and with a peek-a-boo view of Manzanita Lake! Gorgeous setting and fabulous park. Would return!
