Lassen NP is huge. We spent several days exploring but also spent time at Lake Manzanita. The cabins are close to the lake with the furthest still only a few minutes walk away. The lake is beautiful and allows swimming, fishing (with restrictions), and kayaking. Our family rented a kayak onsite which was fun. There were also paddle boards available. The host for the campsite are very accommodating so be sure to mention if there are any issues. For example the heater in our cabin was broken but they let us borrow a Buddy heater. The bathroom had issues for repair and the gas station was out of service when we tried to use it but otherwise the area seemed well maintained. The bear box was large enough to fit our cooler and other bags. And each campfire ring is huge. We had a great time!

Manzanita lake cabins are a hidden gem! Especially for family with little ones. So many beautiful things to do and the best part is the place is not overcrowded like the more heavily tracked parts of national parks.

Clean cabin, even has thin pads on the beds to provide some cushion. Beautiful location. Cabin includes a bear box, fire pit, and picnic table nearby.

Great time at the Manzanita Camping Cabins as usual. Many of the hikes around the area were accessible. Chaos Crags was a good moderate hike and there was water in the lake. Spent some time down in Old Station also. Great community of 51 people and finally got to to experience Subway cave. Next year it will be the Spatter Cone Nature Trail.

The cabin is a perfect base camp for hiking the gorgeous trails in Lassen as well as canoeing on the lake.

The campground was extremely clean and ideally located within the park. Our cabin was also very clean upon check-in and the heater worked very well (almost too well!) I highly recommend the cabins and will definitely be coming back as soon as I can.
