Beautiful Campground. Lacking in Hospitality! No one "on duty" when you try to check in or any other time when we were there. We learned from watching other campers that you take the reserve ticket off your post, clean it with a wet paper towel and write the dates that you reserved on it and hang it back up. Reading on the internet that there are other sights to see in the area, but one has to jump through many hoops in order to do that. While we were there, there were several people driving around trying to figure things out. Definitely needs better management.

Enjoyed RV camping. Host was very friendly and informative. Fishing from boat ramp area was not the best but I went later in morning. Will visit again for sure.

Nice campsite but too narrow a pad and road. Although I was able to maneuver my rig in, it was tight. Saw several others with the same issue. Other than that, really nice, quiet, and beautiful views.

This campground is now on my favorites list. The ranger was very friendly and helpful. Although the sites were relatively close it didnt feel like it because of the layout and natural landscape.

Overwhelmingly, beautiful landscape!

Tent pads are small, showers should be cleaner. There was no apparent cleaning of the restrooms over the weekend. Very windy at times. Great birds

Cochiti Lake is my favorite campground, and Buffalo Grove is my happy place. I could just sit and watch the lake, the weather, the mountains, and the people all day. I love kayaking this lake.

Quiet, peaceful location in off-season. Price was better-than-right with our seniors pass. Missed the lack of NM recycling drop-offs, and at Cochiti Campground. Cmon ACOE! And the very few 50A sites available. The 2 very nice dry camp only sections could have easily had power but didnt and the Jupiter section only has water (& 50A) on the inner circle. Outside sites are electric-only. Very nice new showers on Jupiter BTW. But the Jupiter sites with paved parking are pretty rough. Lots of gravel/rocky banks with large rocks strewn about, not looking natural but like a construction site. Stick with Buffalo Grove loop if you want a more finished campsite with water & 50A, but they are well reserved. Thats it for now!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cochiti. We had a terrific site overlooking the lake. We rode our bikes over the dam and we really amazed at the views.

We stayed at site 20 in Juniper Loop. The site was close to level and long enough for our 35ft Motorhome. The site is W/E, Dump station is at exit of Juniper Loop. The Campground was very quiet during our stay. Santa Fe is 40 minutes away and all shops and Restaurants are available. Bandelier National Monument is 90 minutes from Cochiti CG and worth the drive. Lots of Cliff Dwellings can be seen on a short hike starting behind the Visitor Center.

Very nice quiet campground. Great view. Pet owners should be aware of goat heads when walking their pets! We liked it very much!

Juniper loop site #15 pull through. Very level with water across the road. We filled before we set up. Nice park for walking and Mountain Views were great. About 30 minutes to Santa Fe.

This campground feels very remote. Quiet; no road noise at all. Loved the rolling terrain. Beautiful sunrise/sunset. Reasonable amount of trails for a lake-themed campground. Stayed in the Buffalo loop. The showerheads could use some attention, as they only provided a mist, not really a shower. But would definitely come back here. Tent Rocks NM is within 2 miles, but be sure to book your access reservation way in advance. We stayed for two weeks, but could not get into Tent Rocks.

We had an amazing hike at nearby Kasha-Katuwee Tent Rocks and enjoyed kayaking on the no-wake lake. Beautiful location and campsite. Level pad and covered picnic shelter were great. Bathrooms were a bit overused by the day boaters, as the bathrooms in the boat launching area were closed with instructions to go to the campground. Other than the bathrooms being a bit run down, we had a very positive experience and would come back again.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
