Beautiful campground with large lots, 50amp power and very reasonable price

Nice clean camp spot with rain/shade cover over the picnic table. My tent fit perfectly on the tent pad and I was able to park right next to my spot. Bathrooms were clean and shower water was hot.

Camp grounds were clean, restrooms were clean. However, there was no toilet paper or paper towels in any of the restrooms. I can do without the paper towels, but TP is very important.

Beautiful location. Did not have shade as the website stated, with the exception of a covered picnic table. Water pressure was strong and had a good taste. The site was not level but because it was asphalt, it was stable.

We made reservations almost last minute that resulted in us having to move 2 times during our 6 day stay. We liked the section that had water and electric at each site. There is a beautiful view of the lake. The campground is very convenient for day trips to Santa Fe and Albuquerque. It is also a very good spot for an overnight for travel days. The ATT connection is very slow and difficult to use for streaming and at times just access to the internet.

Nice campground. Extremely large dam that you can walk or bike across. However, you cannot get to Bandelier National Monument from there. There was an old forest service road that may have taken you, but it was barricaded off and it looked like a permanent closure.

Overall the campground was very nice. The showers need improvement. Restrooms were not cleaned daily. View of the lake and surrounding mountains were great.

We were disappointed this time.

We stayed in the Buffalo Loop. The bathrooms were not well maintained. Shower floors were very dirty. The site was pretty nice. Very sturdy cement table with metal roof covering. The sites were gravel and far off from level.

This is a very nice, well-maintained park, but park management's ridiculous last-minute change in the reservation system made our stay very stressful and unpleasant. Our planned stay spanned the time period when the sites transitioned from reservation to first-come-first-served, in mid October. Since we would be in the site when it became fcfs this shouldn't have been a problem---EXCEPT---about two/three days before the sites would have switched to first-come-first-served they changed to reservation only! This would not have been a problem if the park would have notified campers who already had reservations and planned to extend their stay into the fcfs timeperiod--giving these campers the first chance to reserve their sites. But, that didn't happen, so many campers got kicked out because someone else reserved their site, though just days before the sites were fcfs. What a mess!

I love the Buffalo Grove section of this campground - the shelters at each site are beautiful and the picnic tables are concrete which means no worries when setting up your cook stove. There is water and electric at each site, the bathrooms are clean, the sites are large and level, the camp hosts are really nice, and the views are beautiful.

The campground was well maintained. The camp hosts drove around frequently checking to see if everyone was doing ok.The bathrooms were not very clean. We were evacuated the day before our reservation ended and we have still not received a refund.

If I could give 100 stars I definitely would. The hosts were great. The facilities were immaculate and our spaces were awesome. I will 100% be back again and again.
