The Coyote loop for RVs was very nice. Although there were many campers we had enough space for some privacy. Water and dump station were close by. A few hiking trails right from the campground.

Great campground. Well organized, private sites. Despite a gov shutdown, patrolled by Park Ranger. Everyone very friendly. Loved this place!!!!

Though I was disappointed that Bandelier was closed, Betty, my camp host, was very helpful in planning camping site, hikes, and attractions. She really made a difference.

This campground was a great camping spot, especially the bathroom facilities are fantastic! Also the supply of firewood, water makes it a very beginner friendly campsite.

The campground was open but access to the canyon was closed. We forfeited our money and left without staying.

Not excellent because park was closed and this limited the experience

Tour Manhattan Project by taking the tour at Los Alamos History Museum. Drive to Valley Calderas and take in the amazing scenery

Juniper campground has poor to no storm runoff. We camped on a night of hail/rain and the mud and water from the uphill campsites made our stay muddy and miserable.

Nice area but small campsite. Fire ring was very close to tent area

It was a good site, quiet. There were some bees and mosquitoes. I shared a chicken leg and that seemed to keep them busy. Restrooms were clean. Cell service was "available" at campground kiosk.

The park ranger Juan was extremely helpful and friendly. The campground host was as well. Beautiful campground.

It was nice and quiet and the bathroom was clean

Nice campground with plenty of trees and hiking trails nearby. Be aware that if you leave your site early, the site is locked and no one else can book the site. It is easier to add a night.

Quiet, scenic, clean rest rooms. Great hiking and site 25 is a good site.
@BrentL837041DE · Camped on Sep 14, 2025
With an online reservation and payment process there was no check-in other then the park entry check point and no receipt to display other then someone posting a reserved ticket on the site post, so that was different but easy. The campground is inside the monument so not sure if a ticket would be needed to exit and re-enter the grounds each time. It was convenient to drive or hike to the visitor center from camp, but parking at the center is limited and there is a shuttle from camp as well. It was very quiet and mostly empty the entire week as it was towards the end of the season, very relaxing. Los Alamos was interesting with the history and only 7 miles away.

Wonderful experience. The staff were nice and the campground was quiet. The restroom was especially clean, and I particularly appreciate the sink for dishwashing. Can hardly wait to return next year.

This campground was very clean and quiet. We stayed in site #27 and enjoyed some shade. The campground host was very helpful in providing information about trails and Bandelier. During our 8-day road trip around NW New Mexico, Bandelier was the highlight. It is truly a hidden gem.

Enjoyed our experience here.

Very helpful and friendly campground host. Clean restroom and available drinking water closed by. We originally stayed at site site 41 however due to not being leveled, the host let us move to site 40, many thanks. Unfortunately, several of the sites are not leveled and the park may want to find a solution for this issue.

Very nice, clean, well-maintained campground. Flush toilets, place to wash dishes with well lit pathway to bathrooms. Plenty of privacy and shade. Ranger programs. I look forward to visiting again.

When I arrived, I could not get my little trailer into the campsite coming from the direction of the arrows along the street. After swapping with another family who were tent camping and had no tent site. I still had to back down the road to access the campsite with my trailer. There is no room with huge rocks all along the edge of the road. I was told by the camp host I could have driven in the other direction. NO WHERE DOES IS SAY TRAFFIC CAN GO BOTH WAYS. Shortly after getting setup, another guy was also going to back down the road to be able to get into his site. Just about everyone in the campground had a dog, most had 2. There is no where to take your dog except the campground or parking lots. It was in the high 80s so the parking lots were too hot. There is a 1.5 mile trail from the campground to the Visitor's Center, no dogs. There was only one dumpster in the campground so cleaning up after dogs was not easy. I have learned my lesson, no more National Parks. Too bad

Clean, well maintained campground. Ranger talks at the amphitheater Friday and Saturday night were wonderful.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
