The beach was so nice to have. The fish and turtles swim right up to you.

Been a good customer at Clearwater Lake Recreation Area for many years. I always enjoy the Ocala Forest. But I am still very unhappy about changing the checkout time to 11 AM. Quite frankly, it's ridiculous. There is very little that needs to be done for the next guest and during the weekdays that goes double since there aren't really that many campers. I always feel like I have to rush on the morning I have to leave, and there certainly is no time to take one last bike ride or hike. Therefore, I spend more time at the State Parks now which still have a 1PM departure time.

Had a wonderful first time experience in Ocala National Forest. Clearlake Campground is in a beautiful setting. I was on the B Loop and as soon as I parked I walked the Lake Trail, which was spotless and empty. Beautiful and peaceful. The campground was also spotless and the site were very well equipped. Especially appreciated the bear-proof food lockers (although no bears were seen). The restrooms were GREAT! Immaculate and well-maintained. Dishwashing Station? How cool! Shower? Needed after several hours on the Florida Trail. Especially nice were the gate keeper and camp host. Both were very friendly, helpful, and informative. I really appreciated that. Overall, a fun experience that Im sure to repeat.

Best 5 day vacation in years spent with my son. We found our new spot, friendly humans are all we encountered and the peace was overwhelming, thank you.

The campground is beautiful and the staff members were kind and very helpful. The bath houses were very clean and well kept. We stayed during the week and there were very few other campers there. The only reason I gave only three stars is that there was one group that was very noisy. The first day and night they yelled, blew an air horn and talked over a loudspeaker. It was constant and went on for hours. Unfortunately we didnt realize that we should have complained to the camp host because the second day he came by our site and asked if they had been noisy and then he went over to their site and told them they had to settle down. He paid very close attention once he knew they were a problem. From then on during the night they were quiet but they were still very noisy during the day. It seems that no matter where you go you can always run into a disrespectful group. We didnt hear a peep out of anyone else in the whole campground. I cant say enough positive things about the camp host and the lady that checked us in. They were great.

Helpful staff, clean restrooms, wonderful campsite. Wood and ice available for purchase onsite. Fire pit includes a swivel grate for maximum cooking convenience and there is also a separate grill for those who prefer traditional charcoal/standup. Easy access to Florida Trail and Paisley Bike Trail trailhead. Highly recommend.

Great experience! Clean spacious campsites. Clean restroom/showers. Very friendly and helpful staff. My only recommendation is bring your own firewood if allowed. What they sell at the campground is small slivers and expensive.

The drinking water should be tested for portability. It does not smell potable.

Great place. Campground hosts are top notch. The place is clean and well kept. Campsites are spacious and the lack of electrical hookups keeps it rustic and free of huge RVs. It is the best of a traditional campground.

Way too expensive. Was coming off of the Florida Trail, so $50 for one night was just too unreasonable for a backpacker not using all the amenities. If it wasnt so late I likely would have just pushed through to the next site. At least they have potable water and bear protection.

My husband and I took our grandchildren for two nights and they had a blast. They loved canoeing, the nature walks and having a fire at the end of the day. We will definitely take them back soon. The camp hosts were super friendly and nice.

This is a perfect family campsite. The lake is clear due to it being spring fed, and there are trails galore. Bathing area/restrooms are very clean and hosts are very nice. The campsite itself has a charcoal grill, lantern pole and fire ring with swing away cooking grate. Perfect!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
