This campground is a gem. The sites are spacious and everything is kept clean and tidy. We love the walking trails and the lake.

Beautiful large campsites with lots of shade but trees are extremely difficult to navigate the road and to get into the campsites. Had to try three different sites just to find one we could get our 35 ft 5th wheel into. Website said it would fit. Many trees are overgrown and need trimming.

The dishwashing station is wonderful. Hot running water makes that camp chore so easy. And the place is kept so clean. I love it that the Florida Trail runs right by the campground. Makes for nice hiking each day.

This lake-side campground is a nice place to relax. My friend and I were a bit disappointed to find there were no fish biting during our visit and we wondered whether or not the lake is stocked during the year. Never saw someone to ask (except at the gate) so we just gave up. However, kayaking the lake is very nice. It's about a mile in circumference so you can get in a nice paddle. Heard an alligator, saw ALOT of birds along the shore (but few actual water-birds), and enjoyed the quiet times at night when generators have to be turned off. The restroom on my loop was large and was clean. Unfortunately, as in many campgrounds, the shower head was pitiful! The shower had the push-button type of control, and the water temperature was perfect. Didn't have time to hike the lake trail this visit, but saw alot of other folks enjoying it. I look forward to camping here again, but perhaps in a sunnier site-- I was so shaded I couldn't get much of a charge for my solar panels!

Nice campsites with lots of shade and bear boxes, public facilities were kept very clean. The dishwashing room is great.The Florida Trail and Paisley Bike Trail trailhead is .25-.5 miles from campsites, so you can hike north or south or ride north. Trails are in great condition.

Nice quiet campground, well-maintained, rules enforced. Lovely trail around the lake with alot of birds. Attentive campground hosts and pleasant ranger staff.

The park itself and the gate rangers are great-I would give it 5 stars. We have been coming the this campground for years, along with many other families in our group. We are not loud people and are respectful to others.
Gordon, the campground host is a bit much. The final straw was when he felt it was necessary to come over to our campsite at 10:01pm because our 12 year old son laughed, yes that’s right, he laughed. So while the park is nice, don’t laugh or have fun on Gordon’s watch or you will be reprimanded.

Loved Clearwater Lake CG. Loved paddling around the lake, and riding the bike trail to Alexander Springs . Showers hot and bathrooms clean. Very quiet here!

Very clean and very helpful staff. I only wish there were better areas to fish from around the lake.
