Dewayne Hayes Campground in Lowndes County is located 1 hr 6 min south of Tupelo, MS with an elevation of 172 feet. There are a total of 108 campsites including 10 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 98 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 38 and 120 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. 98 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $30.00. Some amenities include dump station, boat ramp, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Beautiful park, very well maintained. Allows multiple dogs per site on leashes. Camper sites were clean: concrete pad, asphalt roads, convenient sewer hook ups, reliable electric and water, pea gravel in front of camper that is groomed and neat with a picnic table, grill and fire pit; friendly hosts and good customer service. Family day camp areas, modern playground equipment and walking trails. River access.

I have always enjoyed Dewayne Hayes campground. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and the grounds are well maintained and beautiful!

Easy to access off Hwy 45, and roads will support all RVs. The gentleman Campground Host was very welcoming. The W/E sites are of adequate width with many trees. Some are along the waterway and fun to track the various types of boats. A great place to relax!

Dewayne Hays is a very clean,quiet and friendly camp ground. Columbus is close by for anything you might need. We stay several days every March.

Nice well spaced sites on the Ten-Tom Waterway. Saw a large tug and barges go right by our campsite.

Beautiful, clean, and friendly atmosphere. Great trails and wildlife. The river is beautiful and has a boat ramp.

Hard to navigate roads at night, very little signage for late arrivals.Nice roomy site. We were only passing thru so didn't see much else.

Beautiful campground with lots of amenities. Host were very nice and keep the campground clean and running smoothly. AT&T phone service was good and was able to pick up a good many over the air tv stations. Definitely one of our favorite places to camp.

We love the riverfront sites, especially being able to see the barges. I think weve seen deer (and squirrels) every time weve camped here. Hosts are always friendly and helpful.

I had a very enjoyable 2 week stay. All of the attendants and hosts were wonderful! I ended up switching sites with their help so I could watch the barges. Site 3 is wonderful with a very nice view of the river, but moved to 76 so I could see the barges but still have full hookups. There is a very nice paved trail that meandered by the slough. Shower houses were very clean. And close enough for a very short drive into town for replenishing supplies. Sunsets were beautiful. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Always enjoy Dewayne Hayes. The cleaning service keeps the bathrooms clean. The volunteers are pleasant and work to have the sites ready for the next guest. Fun to watch the barges coming down the river.
