Beautiful campground with lots of amenities. Host were very nice and keep the campground clean and running smoothly. AT&T phone service was good and was able to pick up a good many over the air tv stations. Definitely one of our favorite places to camp.

Park is very well maintained and beautiful. It was absolutely full for the Fourth of July not one spot open, but everyone was so friendly and we enjoyed our ourselves.

It is a great park; extremely clean and quiet. If you're looking for a swimming pool, outdoor movies, organized activities, and wifi, this is not your campground. But if you want natural beauty, lots of trees and space between campsites, quiet, and natural beauty alongside a nice river, DeWayne Hayes is definitely your spot.

Wife and I love this place. It is close enough to town to never miss anything. Columbus Mississippi has about everything you would ever need. The spots on the high numbers have better views of the barge traffic but most are not FHU. I found an app that let's you look at Barge traffic so you can see when one is close. It's called Marine Traffice. Available on Google Play. Probably on Apple store too.

You need paid park host . The one at the front is not friendly. We do not feel safe if we have if something happens. It will take so long for a ranger to get there.

Stayed 8 days and enjoyed every one of them! Bath house was always clean and staff was friendly. A group of us have been staying the Thanksgiving week at Lake Lowndes, but no more. This experience was much better and the sites are better maintained. Thanks so much!

Park was safe and secure. All spots were oversized and well taken care of. Park staff was friendly and courteous. We will stay here again when traveling in that area.

Nice park, good accommodations. Nice, clean restrooms and showers. Good, paved roads and concrete pads. I have a son in a wheelchair and should have reserved a handicapped site. The gravel surface around the picnic table and BBQ pit and fire pit does not work well with a wheelchair. Checked in after hours and there were no Late Check-in Instructions or maps at the office. Had to find my site on my own. Had I not had my registration documents, I would have not known which site to get on. Camp host did come by after I was on the site and setting up. Over-all a very good park and I had a good, peaceful experience in a beautiful setting.

Nice clean COE CampgroundWe stopped at this COE campground on our way back to Memphis from the Alabama coast and spent the night. We had originally reserved a pull-through site (#66) but there was a camper in that site that had issues and could not move so they moved us to another site (#13). This was a back-in site, but it was pretty level and worked out just fine. The ranger on duty when we arrived even paid the $2 fee for changing sites due to it not being our problem.The sites are spaced well and are fairly level. There are concrete hiking trails close by that weave around the edge of the Tenn-Tom backwater. We really enjoyed walking around those trails. There is a lot of wildlife around (geese, cranes, deer, squirrels, raccoons, opossums, etc.).The rangers were all very friendly and easy to work with if there was an issue. The roads are in good shape and all the sites are fairly easy to put a camper in.We were there in late December so insects were not an issue but I can imagine in the spring, summer and early fall, they could be challenging.NOTE: If you are using GPS, be aware that some systems might try to take you through West Point, MS and on Barton Ferry Rd. Be aware, Barton Ferry Rd does NOT cross the river so you cannot access the COE site from that road on the west side of the river. You must cross over the river on Hwy 50 from West Point and access Dewayne Hayes from there.We would stay here again.

Great campground! Got to fish, ride bicycles, had a great camp fire, and saw six golden eagles in one tree soaking up morning sun. Thought the were buzzards at first, but got a good look at them and they were immature golden eagles! Love this camp ground!

Nice, clean campground. All of the pads are level with picnic tables and grills. On the river with boat dock & walking trails also. A must to stay at when you are near Columbus, MS. Very friendly attendants that will help in any way they can. They have bath houses with washer and dryers that are very clean and when in season, a splash pad. They also have several sites with sewer. This is our favorite place to camp.

Great campground! The hosts, volunteers, and Park Rangers were all very nice and helpful. This is a nice, quiet, and scenic campground.
