Great site right on creek. No place to put hammock. Right by toilets. Got a wiff every once in a while.

The river was nice. The location is very close to Sedona so that made it convenient to get anything we needed. The driveway is a bit hidden and comes up suddenly so be on the look out.

Ive been going to Manzanita for many years now and it was always a good experience until this last time. We got there and we couldnt find the host, also the trash cans were full and trash was all over the ground, that caused a really bad smell in most of the area. I hope they fix this issue in the future.

Beautiful campground between tall trees.

One of the campground hosts was just not a pleasant person. The other one that did the cleaning was very kind.The creek was sensational and fantastic to swim in and the camp sites were clean and spacious. The location to town and slide rock and grasshopper were convenient.The downsides: No hiking trails out of the camp. The sites we were in were across from the trash that was overflowing and stunk horribly when the wind blew. The outhouse wasnt as stinky as the garbage.

As we arrived late afternoon, Our campsite was clean and had our reservation tag on it. We liked 12 as it had stone stairs down to campsite where we park our car... rather than hop a wall. We were courteous and let the 13 and 11 campsite locations know they were more than welcome to use the steps to access their own site. Camp host was available when needed and the creek was awesome... just about 20 steps from campsite... nice little waterfalls... if you could call them that and a lot of shade. We sat our chairs in the water... very chilly even though it was over 90 degrees outside... it still was refreshing. Slide rock was a day trip... literally a 5 minute drive away.. we were third in line and had a great day there. You have to time it right as they don't move the cones till about 758am lol would love to come back to site 12 one day... thanks for the memories

Love Manzanita. Camp there every year and been in this area for 20+ years so we know it well. This is one of the best campsites because excellent creek access and is tent only. Only downside of this location is that it is downstream of Slide Rock. Typical extended camp for us, but well usually stay around oak creek for 7-10 days at a time with several day trips per year.The downside this year was that the camp host was unfriendly and had an attitude with us. Thankfully we didnt have to deal with them much so we dont let those things spoil our camp. Wed just never experienced a rude and condescending camp host before. Im unsure if we received an attitude because we know the area and are locals. The district has outsourced camp host (and ticketing agent locations such as West Fork) these past few years. Theyre usually okay, but this time was unlucky. They seem to treat you worse if they sense youre local. Our best experience has been with park rangers as hosts. We miss them, bring the park rangers back please.

It's just wonderful, close to bathrooms ,water, and hiking.

Clean, right by the creek and very organized. Only thing that doesnt make it even better is the camp sites are right on top of each other. Very family friendly and the staff ensured that all campers were aware of quiet hours. Restrooms were clean and stocked.

The campground in nice, but it's located right next to a busy road. Thankfully traffic is very low from 10PM to 5AM.

Camping by the stream is amazing! Hearing the sound of the babbling brook is the greatest appeal of this campground. Keep your stuff packed away. Unfortunately we had to remind kids not to take other campers wood.

This campground was delightful! We enjoyed the songbirds, the creek, and the Sterling Pass hike across the street is spectacular. This campground was the perfect way to start our Arizona Vacation.

Initially, we had reserved Site # 9 for our 3 night stay. It turned out to be right next to the highway, so our first night was not restful. The next day we asked the Camp Host if we could move to a site that had opened up, away from the road and next to the creek. She was able to make this happen, and the next 2 nights were much quieter! The campground was lovely. There is a short walk along the creek to a watering hole that was so peaceful, home to a beautiful Great Blue Heron that flew back and forth from the treetops to a rock in the creek! We look forward to coming back to the Manzanita Campground in the near future.

Good location , excellent hiking nearby. Close to roadway, so a little noisy. Fresh running stream. I guess tents only also means small camper vans as half the lot was filled with them. Nice large sites clean and well kept.

Beautiful setting. Camp host was wonderful. Facilities very clean. Cant wait to visit again soon. Site 11 is excellent.

The campground were nice and bathrooms were clean. Plenty of space in-between campsites but only one parking spot available which isn't the best but there's not much room. The road to get to the campsite was closed due to snow so the first night we couldn't even stay there and it was march.
@EileenD59B270F · Camped on Mar 2, 2025 at Campsite #10
There is a person who stays at the base in a camper and actively checks people in! Nice for security purposes. Bathroom was clean and theres hand sanitizer, no sinks. The river close by is very beautiful! This specific spot (#10): you can pull in and then there is maybe a 15 foot walk to the circle campground spot. Had bench, grill, and fire pit. Well maintained.

The place was amazing. Ultra clean. The restrooms were super clean as well. Everything was peaceful and the nature is beautiful. We will definitely be here again and invite friends.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
